You guessed it! It's that time of year again...when I pull together my saved up shelter stash for the women's shelter and make up my donation baskets in honour of Easter.
Of course, I wouldn't be able to continue to do this so frequently without a little help from my SC friends like cmoody, aussie, daisybear, crocodile, bookmom, garbagepicker, sheetsofemptycanvas, gasjoc, Hallie's Mom and linnyeg to name a few, who have donated either coupons or products or both towards my stash. So thank you to all those who have contributed and who continue to support my efforts to show people others care.
This time around my baskets came together like this:
12 Toothbrushes
12 Toothpastes
12 Ivory Soap
12 Deodorants
12 Cold Cream
12 pks. Maxi Pads
12 Shaving Cream
12 Razors
12 Aero Eggs
12 Balea Facial Masks
12 2 in 1 Shampoo/Conditioners
12 Bodywashes
12 Candles

Off to deliver these to the shelter along with a clothing and crystal donation from a co-worker of mine who dropped off her donation with me this morning. I will post upon my return but until then, I'll leave you with a musical interlude...

UPDATE: Just got back from the shelter, and the same worker who has been there the last three times I dropped off was very happy to see me and the shelter baskets again! I took my 15-year old step-daughter with me, who is here from Thunder Bay, so she could share in the good feelings that come from sharing with others. The shelter was pleased with this contribution yet again as well as the kindness of my co-worker's donation, the worker asked me where I got the baskets (Answer = Wal-Mart!) and DH's daughter got a life lesson on this Good Friday. So all in all, a great day Happy Easter

These look amazing. I wouldn't have been able to part with the Aero eggs! You have great will-power! haha I, too, alwats look forward to see what you'll use as your 'basket'.... LOVE those pails!
