had it on for DS this morning and they just issued an apology for something. I was in the kitchen so I only half heard what he was saying- something about inappropriate content? I tried googling but I couldn't find anything. I'm terrible with stuff like this, I want to know!!!

They aired a preview for the movie The Ring - which was inappropriate...

When I was looking for info, apparently this isn't the first time it's happened.
Just a glitch at the switch, I suppose...

lol, I'd still be terrified myself. I always change the channel whenever a commercial for a horror movie airs.

at first i thought "oh well, accidents happen" but i don't recall seeing things like that happen on other channels. i'm not watching a horror movie when suddenly it switches to max making a mud pie.
i wonder if someone is being purposely silly over there, could you imagine! In 2020 I had 100 FREE Grocery pickups! Subscribe to PC Optimum Insiders & get 25,000 PC Optimum pts

Holy cow! I'm sure glad my kids weren't watching when it happened. That's really uncool

We've been watching PBS in the mornings now instead of Treehouse, so I'm glad DS wasn't watching when that came on! :S
That being said, alot of parents are blowing it out of proportion. Kids are going to see alot worse on TV then a preview for a horror flick, just sayin....Last edited by nadiabreckon; Thu, Apr 28th, 2011 at 12:06 PM.

You know now that you mention it I remember treehouse being on the other morning when I suddenly realized I wasn't hearing a cartoon anymore, but by the time I noticed and looked at the t.v it was back to normal. I thought that someone had changed the channel, I guess not.

true, they see a LOT in passing when it's not on treehouse/pbs/phd/tvo/cbc kids/ytv/family etc. (man that list is long hehe)
what i find amusing about it is the fact that it even happened. heck it could have been something racy, and for a few seconds i don't think every 2-4 yr old in Canada was scarred for life.
it happened, it's gone. i just would like to recieve quality in the programming that i pay for. that includes not having little blips. i mean, imagine if it was a critical moment in Modern family or cougar town *ghasp*

Or better yet, one of those 'Girls Gone Wild' informercials. We learned early on that if we were watching Spike in the evening before going to sleep, better get that channel changed before showing DS any TV in the morning! That stuff is not far from , I don't care if they DO have little stars covering their bits!

I actually saw the clip and was like "HUH???" It was an interview with a couple of the actors and it did show the odd clip from the movie. I was kinda stunned and was too busy trying to figure out why it was on treehouse to even think of changing the channel! lol thankfully my kids were playing and didn't even notice.

lol,can you really prevent them from ever seeing stuff like that? I am with nadia.
I mean, in my family the t.v. sometimes is used as a noisemaker, adults aren't going to change whatever they are watching on t.v. just because a child is around. Like if we are at her nana's house visitning or something for example.. i am not going to tell people what to watch in their own house. Maybe I am just lucky my dd isn't into t.v. so much except max & ruby, comfy couch and shrek ( which some of you would probably say isn't appropriate either and none of these she watches everyday or regularly) are the only things i can get her to sit still for still at 3.Last edited by kris10; Sat, Apr 30th, 2011 at 11:42 AM.
