[QUOTE=Lynn49;5877394]Hi, Bobbiegirl, you're most welcome to join! We're all on different diets, whatever works for us...just make sure you're drinking your 8 cups of water! I didn't realize HOW IMPORTANT that really is until I started actually doing that and losing so much easier! Good luck![/QUOTE
I think you are right about the water Lynn. I also decided to stop drinking diet pop. It was hard for the first few days but I'm getting used to it :)

Good for you, Hon. I treat myself to a diet pop now and then, but if course never ever the ones containing aspartame!:yikes:

Everyone is doing awesome, lost 2.4 pounds so a total of 15.6lbs since jan. 30th, been slacking lately not cheating but tired of the same old foods (salads, veggies, fruits) seems like it's ground hog day (lol).

welcome bobbiegirl2010! As Lynn said we are all at different stages and on varying programmes to lose the pounds. I have embraced the water thing as well about a week ago. I started about a week ago doing the hot water/fresh lemon wedge drink upon rising, then I chase that with about 12 oz water. I have found it helps me to start my first meal ( breakfast ) later in the day now that I am retired. I am still such an early riser, so delaying that first meal helps me get through the day better.
I have had my nose stuck in a book called Gluten Is My B*i*t*c*h, and it is cracking me up! I have removed the gluten from my meals once again and I already feel so much better. I am not celiac, just sensitive to it.

Down 2.2lbs since Monday :) Drinking more water seems to be helping :)
-
bobbiegirl!! Congrats!! Me too, ( well my loss was just 2 lbs since Monday) but it MUST be mostly the water that I drink daily making the difference. Yes the cleaner diet is a big factor but I sure as heck have not been working out so I am thrilled to have lost something to kick start me again. Monday was my first time to get the guts to step back on a scale since maybe January?? The weight gain was no surprise to me, I've been living large and looking it!
Woot! Woot! for new beginnings ( again, lol )

Down 1, was glad to get up and start spring cleaning this week. Got me energized.

I lost 2lbs in the last 1.5months. I am happy with that. Slow weight loss is more likely to stick, in my opinion.
It is still chilly here, but there are only some random snowbanks left in the shade. I took LO out for a walk in the stroller yesterday. He had a blanket and sat perfectly still while we cruised around. I picked up about $2 worth of bottles and cans on our short walk. I have always loved walking, but last year I started collecting a lot of bottles and cans when I took LO out for our 3km walks. It will also help me save some money and get back on track with loosing weight. I have been somewhat trying, but admit to being a bit of an emotional eater...and things have been quite stressful around here lately.
eg. I am currently wrapping up my university course. I am earning 70% of my grade in the next month. Monday is my second 25% midterm exam. I got 94.29% on my other midterm and 100% on my 3page paper. Believe me, I am very happy with these marks.

Maintained! This is good! I am recovering from some misbehaving during the March Break. Getting back on track. Aiming for a loss next week!

Well who had the silliest mishap ever? I was holding my big ole mug of lemon wedge/warm water from the base in my left hand , and had the camera in the other, I walked over to place the camera in the charging cradle, tripped on something and it was like SLOW motion, I KNEW the mug was gonna fall and spill as I was moving forward in the downward fall but miraculously when the full contents spilled all over DH computer table, it missed the keyboard!! I only had to towel up the mouse pad, mouse and floor!! I am NOT telling him. lol

Well THIS clearly isn't working for me. Last week it was my ridiculously high BP, so I was off my diet (stress), and got a new med, and my BP is normal again. BUT, we have our grandson this weekend while Mom and Dad are being wined and dined by her company, stayed at the Trump, private box for all the winners at the Leafs' game last night, so NATURALLY I've been off my diet again this weekend! And it continues...we're taking him to Mr Peabody, 3D movie this afternoon, and of course I'll require a salty pretzel! I mean, who doesn't want a salty pretzel when one is at a movie?! It's just not done.
So 6 more days until we're at Disneyworld and I have no idea what I'm going to do this week. If I'm smart, I'd stay rigorously on my diet, be the beacon of determination, and attain an amazing loss before I pig out on the resort. However....sometimes plans don't exactly work out that way, and I may just be the beacon of, "what the heck, what's one week of being good when I just plan on being bad again in 5 days anyway?" (We're at the Sheraton Gateway overnight in 5 days)
Well, I guess I'll just have to wait and see which "me" makes an appearance tomorrow morning...I sure hope it's the former, rather than that latter, but knowing me.......
So congratulations to EVERYONE for getting those pounds off this week! Is this the first week when everyone posted a loss??!
I don't count because I did not weigh myself. And don't intend to until...omg! I have a weigh-in tomorrow at HM!!!!
Dare I go??!!!!!
