Count me in, too, Holly!! I do mini-challenges all the time for myself...and they do work, but the best part is the confidence you gain meeting those goals!
My beautiful RAVENS won last night, but truth be told, I was so nervous in that last quarter, when our DD called to see how I was doing (the 49-ers were catching up!), my hubby told her I "was hiding". I couldn't watch!! So I played a game on the computer until my hubby yelled up, "Ravens win!!" OMG, I cried, and cried...so happy!! It makes it easier to go back on my diet this morning, not being depressed about the outcome of the game!
So! Back on the wagon...goodbye chicken wings, nachos!!!

OK, so far we have: Abby, Lynn, Patty & kw01ai I'll add more if any more of you choose to join. For my part, I'm challenging myself to maintain my current weight until at least the end of February, and for some of you, you know how hard this can be for me. We can do it, together we can do anything.

Well since 1lb a week is my long term goal I am up for this mini challenge. I am also closing in on another goal which is my pre-baby weight. Yes my baby is 7 years old now
. Shows how much of a slacker I am. I had lost 65lbs before having her then got pregnant, then got injured for 2 years could not exercise like before and then just pretty much gave up. So that goal is now 18 lbs away.

Holly I am in for the mini. I only have 8 lbs to lose and I am so focused on the 8 that it is making it hard. 1 lbs a week. No pop, chips or chocolate candy either over the weekend. Yay!

I've added you 2 as well. I find that small goals are easier to attain and keep us motivated much more that trying to reach a huge goal all at once. I have a tendency to give up, probably to easily if I can't reach a goal quickly. I love it Patty that you have split your weigh loss goal up. I also hope that things will settle down a bit for you and you are able to get a few really good nights sleep. It will do wonders for you. Hope everyone has a really great day today.

I hear you, my mom has been really bad the last couple of days, I dread sundown now. Last night she did not sleep much so today she woke up very confused, doens't recognise the house. Thought she had taken too many pills(she cannot get to them thankfully). It's gonna be a long day. At least we all seem to be over the gastro. Kids are back at school and on the mend. Mine seems to have lasted 24 hours only.

HOWEVER, with all these challenges we have to remember our goals. We can't use these life speedbumps as an excuse to give up on us. That is what I used to do, now I am still #1 in my mind even though I have 5 others to take care of. If it were not for this new lifediet I would be in my grave probably.
