My sister has Dance Revolution for Wii.

For style and fun, I prefer Dance Party 2. But 15 minutes of Dance Revolution in the AM was as tiring as running outside for 15 minutes.

((ps just ordered this for myself in eBay... great way to lose weight and stay toned))

How is everyone doing this week. I hope everyone got back on the bandwagon after the big game. Sometimes it can be hard, but I have faith in everyone, together we can do it!

Well my gastro came and went in about 18 hours but it was a whirlwind visit. I was able to eat better yesterday. I did not go see my dad for 2 days because of it and also the rehab place he moved to , 5 minutes from here, has an outbreak of the flu. How awful because of course it's mostly elderly people trying to recover from surgery or other illnesses.

My friend works at a hospital here in Montreal that is pretty much on lockdown because there is an outbreak of an antibiotic resistant bacteria EEK!

How awful for those elderly folks to be subjected to the flu while in recovery and rehab....all this 'resistant' bacteria really scared the bejeegers out of me! Glad you're feeling better, Hon...

How true is that?! I must have done that a hundred times over the past too-many years...making excuses, blaming everything except myself for why I could call it quits. Truth is, I only have myself to blame. No one ever told me I must stop dieting. Not one single person, and certainly not one single event ever planned to MAKE me feel mad, or sad, or discouraged, or whatever it took to make me quit.
This time I'm only listening to myself.
Whatever happens around me has NO power over me. It can't make me quit.
    And that's that.

Oh, my gosh, Patty....I just looked back at the posts and read this after I posted about "quitting" so many times.
We're on the same wave-length (how scary is that?!)....I know how tough it is to deal with set-backs, crummy things going on around us, the worries we have for family, kids...but you're so right: we HAVE to make ourselves our own priority. If we're not fit and healthy, everyone around us is affected.

BTW, everyone...did you just see the new study (somewhere, sorry it was on tv) that links MS to childhood obesity in GIRLS?!!
    How frightening is that?!!
Here's one article about it, but there are many:
    http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/health/8342585.stm

And for the first time in history, children aren't expected to live as long as us!

So much junk food and crap in stores, fast-food places....I know Moms these days just don't have the time to cook and bake like us (older gals) or our Mothers, but something has to happen. And fast.

Good info. on diabetes, some misconceptions on how it works. My DH is proof of this too. He is "cured" for all purposes. As always people have to study the data and decide for themselves.

I hear ya! That is quite a weight loss , hopefully this is the begining of a great new period for you. Removing all the things that are toxic in our lives is a long painful process. Sometimes we don't even recognize that it was until it is gone.

    thank you. It was lol.
it is a long painful process, so it is important to not beat ourselves up over the little times we fall off the wagon.
