I have hit a plateau it seems. Looking at the pattern of my weight the last month. Have to change it up somehow to get back into losing mode. I was hoping to get outside this week and start the gardening cleanup but between the -10 temps. and now a sore throat and cold looks like that will have to wait until the weekend.

{{{{y-a-w-n}}}}...just got up...We're addicted to House of Cards on Netflix (loved the UK one now onto the US one) so we're up to the wee hours of like....11 or 12 pm!! Mmmmm...coffee...

Patty...is your cold/sore throat part of your plateauing problem? If you'd been coming down with it, maybe that had something to do with it? Whenever I've plateaued, I've taken a day to eat whatever the heck I wanted (in my case A&W, pizzas)...I was surprised with Dr Oz suggested that in one of his shows as this big revelation, when I'd been doing that when I lost the baby-weight with our first kiddo....dieted all week, ate whatever I wanted on Sundays...lost the weight lickety-split! I hope you find something that topples you off that plateau...

And Walks, SO true re bingo halls in the olden days and the smoking issue. Had that still been in place now, I'd never have volunteered...as an x-smoker, there's nothing worse than smelling that stuff again...gag!!

Okay, so have a great day everyone! Hubby asked me to go to see OZ tonight, so that's what we'll do...not sure about if I want to actually go out for dinner...it's too tempting to mis-behave, and we all know I'd never do something like that!

    Keep up the good fight!!!

I saw the mention of cottage cheese earlier.

something I love is a bowl of cottage cheese with mild salsa....reminds me of salsa and nachos and cheese, but without the calories.
Love like crazy everyday and smile.

Love that!!! And since I'm allowed 12 baked nachos as a snack, adding dollops of that on them would be fantastic!! Thank you!
Ladies....I love sharing these ideas! Hope I can come up with a few for you all...!

Kw01ai, honey, I'm the same...stress eat and also boredom eat. It's tough, it really is...and I'm sure all of us understand those delightful little ways we have of derailing ourselves.
Just this evening, I had that bingo orientation, hubby drove me and went to Tim's with his omnipresent Kobo while I was at the meeting. After it was over, he asked me if I wanted a donut...did I say, "Oh, no, Sweetheart...I'm dieting, remember? I couldn't possibly eat a donut."? Did I? Absolutely not. I picked out a dutchie and nibbled it on the way home so that I didn't have to share it with Jenny. Who, incidentally knew I had been with a donut. Sigh....
We all have out downfalls and little foibles, and you're right about it being summer so that we can get out there...I can't wait to take Jenny on longer walks without freezing my face either in cold weather or those cold winds we've been blessed with lately.

Keep your chin up, Hon...won't be long now before you'll be walking everywhere!

As for Gordon Ramsey...I don't understand how his foods don't curdle with his attitude!!!Can't watch the guy at all....now THAT would make me a nervous eater!
Years ago when I still ate gluten, at Timmies I could convince myself very easily that if I had a honey cruller it would be fine. It would be like only having HALF a donut since the middle was hollow!!!!! It's amazing what we will convince ourselves of

I stopped at Timmies on our way to Gymnastics and got a cruller, and my exact reason for justifying the donut was that half of it is gone because of the hole.....great minds I tell ya! LOL

stress makes belly fat, so I MUST be experiencing stress. It cannot just be about the bad foods here and there can it?

Yes stress causes belly fat, that is where most of mine is I blame my living environment but since there's nothing I can do about it I suck it up and keep plugging away.

It's been worse since my dad got home from the hospital. Guess who my main source of stress is

I've heard that too.....I tried meditating..and it does work and feels wonderful, but who has the time?!
My tummy's gone down quite a lot, but the weight loss I had accounted for it, I guess...I did start taking CLA about a month ago, and I'm not certain, but maybe it's made some difference; I seem to be losing in different places...which is a good thing!
    Has anyone else tried it?
