I used to read Patricia Cornwell. Looks like I stopped reading about book 17, but that was about 10 books too many lol. The first 4 or 5 books were the best of the bunch.

I agree. I haven't read one of hers for years now. Happy to say that I'm all caught up with Janet Evanovich though.. well, almost. I haven't read #21 yet. I have a couple others on the go right now so it can wait. Did I say that I started reading The Rise of the Governor by Robert Kirkman? It's a Walking Dead novel. It's very good so far but I still don't know how I feel about it. I hated the Governor's character on the tv show and in the graphic novels and this whole series is all about him.. lol

I know I've (mostly) stopped reading novels that coincide with TV shows. I still plan on watching Outlander
I need to start looking for more books this week so I'll have enough to read. Down to my last book on my e-reader.

Almost the entire book was marvelous... until I hit the last little bit when Jamie went to live with Charlie, then it turned weird. It was almost like he ran out of ideas and just threw in whatever stupid thing that he could come up with. I hated the ending.

i thought the whole thing was a rehash of old stuff. the scene with the last 'patient' was pretty formulaic.

I agree. Hopefully this isn't the decline of the King and that it was just a one-off. I have my name on Dean Koont's Saint Odd, the continuation of the Odd Thomas saga. Really looking forward to that one.
