One of the good things about having fried your brain is
you get to read the same books over again and they're all new!

I almost just picked this up at the library today. Then, idk, I started thinking about Peter Noone and that silly "Something Good" song and then just ended up walking away...

i think 'the girl on the train' was the first time i encountered this type. i'm giving up on 'the final girls'. going back to 'fire and fury'.

Street of Eternal Happiness by Rob Schmitz. Stories about Shanghai (known as Paris of the East) that one can expand to read as what modern China is like overall. Of utmost importance is the maintenance of personal relationships as if one moves from a smaller community to a bigger one (to try to improve financial or other goals), knowing someone from the smaller community in the big city can help with work leads and other useful information.

One fact stunned me. About public libraries (treasure my access even more): China has only 3000 public libraries in cities for city resident use only (every legal resident has a residency permit tied to their birthplace for services and basically if that permit is not in the big city, when someone moves to a big city, getting access to education et all is basically not possible) for 1.4 billion people. In the USA, there are 17000 public libraries for about 245 million people. (One person interviewed about his past had emigrated to the US and he was super-enthusiastic at all the services and classes he could access in NYC.)

    Taraji P. Henson
    Around The Way Girl

Such an emotional retelling of her life experiences while climbing ( and clawing ) her way into and up the Entertainment world.
I was dewy eyed in many chapters.

Starman looks a little spacey as he orbits earth!

Third boost was too long, he will miss Mars
and head out into the asteroid belt.

Good thing he took a copy of Issac Asimov's Foundation with him!

Looking for Bootstraps-Economic Development in the Maritimes by Donald Savoie. Have started reading the last third of the book.

Had skim read Martha Stewart's Newlywed Kitchen book. It'd made a good starter cookbook for new couples and a fine addition to my own library.
