That's what my late best friend and I used to say..."We'll be friends until we need name-tags to remember each other's name..." Sadly, that wasn't to be.....

I hope you and your friends are together for a long time.....

But that's what's not so good about getting old....you can outlive your friends....I've outlived two best friends, both wonderful, kind women...sorry to be maudlin...just hold your friends close and tell them how you feel about their friendship....

Awwwww. . .Poor Lynn. I feel sad for you missing your dear friends. I hope you can pour a glass of wine/tea/coffee (what ever you had together) and reminisce about the good times you shared. Know too that they passed away with the love of such a good friend as you.

And God Looked Down Upon Seniors. . . .

Most seniors never get enough exercise. So, in his wisdom,
God decreed that seniors would become forgetful and that they would have to search for their glasses, keys, and other things misplaced and move around more. And God looked down and saw that it was good.

Then God saw there was yet another need. So God in his wisdom made seniors lose coordination that they would drop things, which would require them to bend and reach and stretch. And God looked down and saw that it was good.

Then God considered the functioning of senior bladders and decided that in His wisdom there might be calls of nature more frequently, requiring more walking to the relief station, which would burn calories. God looked down and saw that it was good.

Seniors were obliged to exercise more from these senior shortcomings and did become more active as a result. So, if you find you are required to get up and down more as you age, remember it's God's will and in your best interest, even though you mutter under your breath

I am proud to say that I have great friends. They are thoughtful, kind & supportive. We get together whenever we can for afternoons of conversations & great munchies.
I am so blessed with the love of some terrific people. We never run out of topics of conversation. Walker....you hit the nail on the head.
