My Aching and Pain in the @$$ Heart

Some things just bug you, right? I've gotten very use to the new format on smartcanucks, and I actually like it. BUT, there are 2 things that irritate the crap out of me. Firstly, all my wonderful gifts are gone, and I am assuming they will never return. I used to love looking at that fabulous cocktail and think how great it will be to finally meet some of my sc friends and enjoy that nice big glass or wine....especially when Lynn already has the perfect wine goblets...really big and WOB is happy if I just buy a lot of wine in a box The second thing is our hearts. If we don't have our gifts anymore, at least let us keep, and earn new hearts. I'm aspiring to gold , so many of my friends have it and I think gold looks wonderful on all us ladies ! Obviously the more the better I'm not sure if others are having this same issue, or it's just me, but for a long time now, I've been stuck with the same hearts and stars. I'm talking probably 100 + reps. It was stuck once before and a fabulous mod was able to fix it for me, and I gained 2 new stars, but it never worked again from that point forward It seems it has something to do with a glitch in the program, and the writer of the program , well lets just say it's not high on their priority list, so there's really not a lot sc can do about it, but I'm hoping one day I will have some gold So until then my dear friends.... I feel soooo much better, sometimes a girl's just gotta rant

I don't even pay attention to the hearts and stars, I just assume they are doing their own thing.

I don't have any idea on how this system works and have not been able to find the information on this site. Why/how do I end up with coloured bars and stars etc? What determines a reputation versus a like and how are they graded for bars and stars? It's been driving me crazy since I joined. lol

As far as the stars and hearts thing I was wondering the same thing too, why have my hearts not changed colour in so long? i know my stools have since I am eating differently...wha??? TMI???

The colored bars are just an indicator as to how close you are to earning a star. The stars change color the more reps you get. Once you have a certain amount of stars, the turn into a heart, then you start over again and the hearts change color the more reps you get. I think gold is the highest color of heart....and damit, I want gold The difference between a like and a rep. A like is something you give a person if you like what they posted, you would click the like button if you agree or like what that person posted. A rep is something you give to people (friends and others that have posted something) you think is great and would like to tell them you appreciate their contribution to the thread and/or site. You can only give out a certain amount of reps every 24 hours. If you gave someone a rep in a thread, the next day your cannot rep them in the same thread, if you want to give them another rep, you need to do it in another thread. Hope this sort of helps you out. All in all, it's just good fun. Also, the maple leafs grow as you contribute to the site. Once you have a certain amount of posts, you will gain a leaf until you have 10 maple leafs, that's the most you can have.

See above post. They really aren't for anything important, unless you are doing a trade of sharing info with them. Then, obviously they would tell you if the member has been a contributing member of the site thus one would think they would be trustworthy, although it's a very good idea to check there trade rating and to see if they are on the blacklist also before doing a trade with someone new to you.
