I loved Valentines day single.

1. You can walk into shops, look at all the red and pink hearts, and be immune to all the marketing pressures. You don't have to buy overpriced teddy bears or mugs that will become dust collectors!
2. You're immune to calories that are forced on you by someone else. You can make the calories count by buying my favourite chocolates, indulge in some fabulous baking, or eat whatever you please! As an extra bonus, you don't have to share.
3. You can get yourself your favourite flowers. Red roses are lovely, but they're everywhere this time of year.
4. You have no one else to cater to. If you go to a restaurant, you don't have to be concerned if they only serve fish, or have someone else telling you they don't like anything on the menu.
5. You don't have to put up with anyone's complaining that something isn't perfect, swearing he got cut off in traffic, or otherwise ruin your day.
6. *You* get to pick the movie. That's good enough to make any day special.
7. Spending time with people you love is not restricted to just one person. It can girls/guys night out (or in), you can volunteer and share the love with others, catch up with your old friends, clean house, .... Oh the possibilities!!

Being single is fabulous!!! Not to mention, there are a lot of married people or committed people that can only wish they were you right now.

Whatever your situation, enjoy it thoroughly. You might not be single for long and these glorious single days will be over.

I bought myself flowers the other day... but it's nicer to get them from someone else!
