    He did alot of calculating and measuring before actually building them. Calculated how much space between both sides so you can bend down to pick up items from the floor without your butt touching the shelves on teh other side.

    Also calculated it for the average person out there (not the ones who are a size 0 ) so 12+ this way if we sell the house the next owner can chose to keep them for a pantry as well.

    ohhh la la!! I am envious! Dh and I are starting the framing of our unfinished basement this weekend, and I've got a space carved out for storage room (5x8 so like a walk in closet size) I can't wait to have a space for my stockpile! eeeekk!
