Has anyone here ever tried making their own reusable snack bags ?
I am just curious what material you would choose to use as a liner. I have read that some people use Polyurethane plastic, others use fabric coated in beeswax and others use ripstop fabric (ie, the kind of fabric used for tents, kites etc) and other use ziploc bags.
I am trying a couple of different ways, one using an old heavy duty ziploc freezer bag cut to size and another using a cereal bag liner. What do you think ?
The image posted is not one of my bags, just one I found on pinterest.

I've never tried making them but I love the idea and I've considered ordering them off Etsy (I think glowgirl has some). I think a ziploc liner would work but I'm not really sure.

seems like a lot of trouble for reusable snack containers. why not just get the little plastic containers from dollarama? i use them for carrot sticks and dip. separate containers of course.
I can't profess to understand God's plan. Christ promised the resurrection of the dead. I just thought he had something a little different in mind.

lol, I suppose it does seem like a lot of work, but I enjoy sewing so for me it's fun rather than work.
I agree the plastic containers from dollarama would be easier, however, the thing I like about the reusable bags is that they lay flat and take up less storage space when they are not in use.
My cupboard that holds my plastic containers drives me nuts. The containers are always falling out and for some reason can never stay organized.Trade List /Wishlist: http://forum.smartcanucks.ca/382792-dreamcatcher1962s-trade-wish-lists-canada/#post5928904

Since I keep lurking .... I am also a Pinterest addict - http://pinterest.com/deannas/boards/. It's a random organization of ideas and curious thoughts that I try to tackle when the stores are closed and I am unable to coupon, LOL!
... I'm earning $5-25 Amazon.ca gift cards EVERY month, are you?
P.S. ... starting to hunt for ShoppingChannel GC's with no minimum purchase ...

Pinterest stress afflicts nearly half of moms, survey says
In our exclusive TODAY Moms survey of 7,000 U.S. mothers, 42 percent said that they sometimes suffer from Pinterest stress – the worry that they’re not crafty or creative enough. Symptoms include staying up until 3 a.m. clicking through photos of exquisite hand-made birthday party favors even though you’ll end up buying yours at the dollar store, or sobbing quietly into a burnt mess of expensive ingredients that were supposed to be adorable bunny cookies for the school bake sale.
