Glasgow Commonwealth Games baton route relay route to be unveiled

Commonwealth Games organisers are set to unveil the route the Queen's Baton Relay will take around the world.
The 190,000km relay - far longer than the Olympic Torch relay - will travel to 71 nations in about seven months before arriving in Scotland.
It is now 500 days until the 2014 Commonwealth Games is held in Glasgow - from 23 July to 3 August 2014.
A special event at the Emirates Arena, which will be one of the main venues, will unveil the international route.
The baton, whose design has not yet been revealed, will leave from Buckingham Palace later this year, carrying a message from the head of the Commonwealth, The Queen.
It will visit 71 nations and territories of the Commonwealth, including India, Australia, South Africa and Jamaica, before returning to Scotland for an extensive tour.
The final relay runner will hand the baton back to the Queen at the opening ceremony of the Games.

Bezzoubenko wins 2nd rhymic gymnastics gold

Canada’s Patricia Bezzoubenko has captured her second gold medal of the Commonwealth Games. The 17-year-old rhythmic gymnast won the individual all-around title a day after she led Canada to gold in the team event.
