Need Some Idea's For my Poor Kitty!

Big Surprise Simba got into some stinky stuff washed it off. Yet it seemed to knot his fur cut that small piece out but since I did that it seems to always knot up(hard clump knot) around the area I just cut I am combing it everyday, he is longish hair being part ragdoll. I just don't want him bald Any idea's? This has been over a week. Thanks

Try a groomer, but a real one, not the PetSmart groomers. I don't know much about grooming cats, I have a short haired who I slicker once a day and that's about it.
