I'm awaiting a number of coupons too! I really hope there isn't a strike. It also hampers my ability to keep my Etsy shops open if I can't mail things out

i got this email about a half hour ago from 630 ched.
the subject said: No national mail strike Thursday night
We've learned that without an agreement in place, CUPW says rotating strikes for Canada Post workers will begin early Friday. The job action will start in Winnipeg then rotate through other locations.
I don't know what a 'rotating strike' means and if we will still get mail delivered?
can anyone clarify?

Glad that it's rotating, instead of general.
It just means that at the beginning, it will only affect Winnipeg, then they will announce other cities as or if it goes on.

I bet my brides are scrambling to get their invitations out!
Met with a couple yesterday who got them out, then wondered if the RSVPs would arrive! It might mean a lot of phone calls and emails!

Rotating strikes are certainly better than an all out strike. Things will be slow, but at least we'll still get some mail.

Good to hear,
I have already sent my son a package via Purolator, I almost fainted when she quoted 28 dollars and change ..... sent it anyway because I was so afraid of the postal strike. Oh well...

So basically there really isn't a strike then? This is more like shift work.
