AHHHHHHHHHHHH! I know exactly what you mean. I am 5'1.5". I've been that height since high school. and I'm likely getting shorter. When I was 18, I was told that I was obese for my height. And I was about 120lbs. It's just...discouraging.
I have been surrounded by small little asian girls all my life. The world tells us that 5'1" people should be about 100 lbs. I mean, come on!!
blah. now I'm feeling really bummed out because I'm sitting on the couch, watching The Voice, and I didn't go to the gym today because I had such a tiring day at work.
CORNER PLEASE!

We are hockey fans in our house - go Canucks go. DS likes Milwakee Brewers baseball team.
Cheerios - we all like - DS loves the new peanut butter cheerios
Dinner tonight was cheeseburger pizza - homemade. I love hearing other peoples dinner ideas -gives me inspiration - I tend to get in a rut cooking meals! My family would appreciate more variety!

Ditto, ditto, ditto! 120lbs? I think I weighed that much when I was 3 yrs old! I'm 5'2-5'3 and I'm 189lbs now and Asian and I've been called obese by my mom and aunts and every Asian woman who've met me at a family gathering... In high school, I was around 150-170 lbs, played sports and was very active. But since I was a toddler, I'd always been "chubby". Now that I'm married and have a baby, no more comments but I'd cry all the time because of how they made me feel about my weight and how I looked. I think they were so harsh because I was a girl and my mom was afraid no "Asian/Chinese" man would ever want to marry me
My own mother put me on strict diets as a teen that only made it worse. So narrow-minded.... Bah! She was wrong in the end...There was someone who would love me and how I looked or how much I weighed did not matter. In fact, one of the reasons why my DH was/is attracted to me is because he thinks I'm beautiful. My husband is Asian/Filipino and he's a sturdy, strong, intelligent and handsome 210lbs guy who loves me for the real reasons... Thinks I'm beautiful and loves my curves. Together for almost 12 years and happily married for almost 5 yrs
Personally, I could never picture myself skinny... I love how I look
End of rant

Good morning ladies! It's freezing raining/ice pelleting outside & I have to leave for the school run with 3 kidlets in 10 minutes, we walk (takes 10-20minutes with kidlets in tow as its uphill & because they seem to drag their feet & then 5-10 minutes back as then it's downhill lol), so not really looking forward to it! Going to skip DD's sports class today as its a 20 minute walk each way & the class is only 45 minutes long = not worth it!
Have loads of household chores to do today that I don't want to do but have to
Dishes
Laundry (minimum 3 loads but probably 5 yuck)
packing for the cottage
Total bathroom cleaningLast edited by julesie-pie; Thu, Apr 11th, 2013 at 09:16 AM. Reason: I can't spell

You can mail whenever you'd like
As long as you mail on or before April 24th.
Hahaha.... Everyday, during the 2 weeks leading up to Easter, the kids and I would watch The Polar Express. Kids are funny
Hmmmm.... if you have any Mr. Clean Magic erasers or kids toothpaste in your stockpile, then YEP!

This is the one reason I loved maternity t's lol...until I got fat and needed the length for the belly

I'm addicted to gap's "favourite t's" (which they've rebranded to call the "essential t" but it's the same thing). Many colours come in "tall" and they're like $20ish. ..I stocked up a few mobths ago when they had one of their 40% off internet sales. ...like super stocked up lol.
I'm full of rage-o-hol today too
there will be a rant coming I'm sure about dh's best man and the bachelor party WEEKEND they have planned. Later. After I've gone wrist deep in poopy and stopped seeing red with rage.

Anyone know anything about white wine? We only drink red and the resort needs to know our selection for the wedding (their "house" wine for the last wedding I was at there tasted like paint thinner...and it's $25/bottle...talk about mark up! I have to send them a few wines that we'd like and then they'll tell us what their price per bottle is. Any recommendations?
