Some advice ladies -

I have a friend who makes jewellery. She has an etsy shop, a FB page, goes to craft and bead shows, has been published in magazines and really is a true bead artist.

She has a Spring Show in her home tomorrow afternoon, where it's basically the jewellery she's made for the spring season - summer. She's invited me to go of course, and has invited a bunch of people.

Here's the thing - other than the fact I have a metal allergy and can't wear 90% of what she makes, the 10% I can wear, is SUPER expensive. She does use unique, hand blown beads from artists from Scotland and other parts of the world .... but it's WAY out of my budget.

Eg. She made this with cord silk instead of a chain

So here's my question - should I go and not buy anything? Or just not go (and then not buy anything!). I don't want to tell her that her stuff is too expensive for me. People are buying it - I just can't afford it. And frankly, it's not my style, either. It's lovely for other people, but not me.

you could just say.. as much as I do appreciate the offer to join your classes, unfortunately at this time its not something im able to afford, however i'd be more than happy to pass along the information.

Hun I think you should be honest with her a friend would understand and that way she will know why you are reluctant to come

Honestly? I'd just say it's out of your pricw range but you want to come to support her...you have fun and blah blah blah.

Don't worry about it nor being your stylem. I honestly think they're kinda hideous!

Good evening ladies! I went shopping today for some clothes for myself for our upcoming trip, I was super excited when I left the house but after 3 stores of trying stuff on that I loved on the hanger but hated on me I lost my excitement a little. I went into Winners and found a bunch of stuff to try on and the lady working the fitting rooms was AWFUL, she was so rude! I had some bags from other stores, my coat and purse, she would not allow me to take my bags into the room with me, and refused to watch my cart...WTF am I supposed to do with everything while I'm trying your stuff on lady?? I did end up finding a few tops in some other stores..NOT Winners but she put me in such an awful mood I didn't get any buddy shopping done I will get started on Monday in a fresh new mood. I have planned out what I want to get though

Oh and for the record, buddy.... DS has a new found obsession with apple chips!!!!!! $1.50 a bag at Walmart. Just saying... ;-) LOL

I know this will sound crazy but I am FINISHED! I went to the USA today and found everything and then some! I will wait to mail for at least a week, but am very excited!

I'm so jealous! I'd love to go to the US and shop. I think that would be so fun.
