The hardest thing I've ever done was suffering a miscarriage a few years ago. We were 1 day shy of 7 weeks. The only other person aside from DH who knew I was pregnant was my boss as I work in a daycare and needed her to know just in case of communicable disease around the centre, heavy lifting , etc. The day we miscarried, we were actually about to board a plane to go on vacation in the Carribean. I was in shock and denial over the thing (I should have went to the hospital but left the country instead). Thankfully the miscarriage went smoothly with no complications, as it took 24 hours for the reality of what was happening to set in and we were in a different country. Coming home from vacation was the hardest part as there were no more distractions. My first prenatal appointment was no longer a joyous experience. Instead it was counciling from my doctor as I had to quickly change the reason for the appointment. I also had to break the news to my boss and pretend to be happy at work taking care of other people's babies. That was the hardest part. Seeing others who were pregnant and having to be happy for them was hard (deep down I was happy for them , but I was still depressed and questioning why this happened to me even though I knew it wasn't my fault). 2 of my close friends got pregnant around this time too and would go on and on about hearing the heart beat, ultrasounds, etc. After the miscarriage we had a hard time getting pregnant again. It took us 18 months to get pregnant. The first 7 weeks were the most long and agonizing weeks as we just wanted to make it past that mark. When we made it past the first trimester we were told this was a very viable pregnancy (and it was). Now I have my beautiful and most amazing 1 year old son in my life!! It has helped with our loss a few years ago, but the pain from that loss will always be there.

I can not imagine what you ladies have been thr ough I consider myself strong but in that situation I think I would crumble. I believe everything happens for a reason but when something like that happens its questionable to sayt he least. I'm not the most religious person but I believe faith will help you through it especially in a time of pain and weakness. Stay strong and it is most def not you fault. What is meant to be will be. And your SC friends will always behere, scratch that your SC family willn always be here whenever you need us

I miscarried at 12 weeks. I was very angry especially at the teenage girls that were pregnant and live and go to school near me. I did go on to 2 have to kids whom are now 16 and 18 and am now a Nanny. Kids are very important to me even though sometimes I want to wring there necks LOL.
