The CS girl is incorrect, there should be no overage allowed on this coupon. It stated right on the coupon that "change will not be given back if Skinny Cow product(s) under $5 are purchased".

If the skinny cow items you bought have taxes on them (and many of the sandwishes etc do) then you should get the whole $5 because they would then be $4.97 plus tax.

Nope, because of the "tax is included in face value of coupon" part. It works like the $ or cents off coupon.
Instead of saying "up to $5 maximum" where WM can give overage, Nestle trying to disallow that by adding the "no change back" part and set the coupon value at the "actual" price if lower than $5. But like I said before WM CS manager didn't catch that so enjoy your free ice cream. You lucky this time.Last edited by Decaf; Sun, Jun 12th, 2011 at 12:11 AM.

Terrible hassel. But at least you stood your ground. Hopefully more stores and cashiers will become better aquainted with coupons and how to use them properly.

I live near by but rural. I do all my shopping in Cambridge, I know for a fact the Walmart off Hespeler does. But as always it's a good idea to carry a copy of the coupon policy in your binder. There is always those situations where apparently it's up to us as the consumer to prove to the store employee's what their own policies are LOL
