Wow!! Just checked my pc plus account and found 2 strange accounts added on that are definitely not mine :-( . Deleted them and will be using up my points as soon as I reach $20.
This is alarming. The call in centre must be swamped with calls.

Am I right to assume that all these instances of PC Plus points theft only have to do with the red PC Plus card, app, and such? DH and I have been collecting PC points since before PC Plus was offered and we only ever used the financial card(s). Offers are loaded using desktop. So far both accounts are good and only the individual card appear per account.

It seems to be stemming from people logging in using stolen passwords so doesn't matter how you scan your card. If you have a password to check/load offers you are at risk

I have never had a physical card, but I can see every MC and phone/ipad I have had since the program started. so I deleted everything except for the current phone, MC and debit card won't let me delete those even though it lists the old cards. Not sure how smart that it. I will never use the ipad to collect so its just risky to leave it there. I have always let my points accumulate and then cash out in big amounts. I think that is no longer safe so now I will cash out as I hit 20.00

Yes, PC financial card is safer. Recent hacks are for the red PC plus card accounts.

The card that I got hacked was the PC FINANCIAL card. So these aren't 100% safe either. Really happy with the response from PC, they returned most of my points. I say most because when I first noticed my points missing I had around 16,000 points left. Throughout the day it went to 8000 then 1600. I thought they could
D only steal in increments of 20,000 points (20$) but I was wrong.... they replaced the points that were taken in big chunks. Going to call them about the 15,000 missing points and see what they say, just glad to have my 240,000 points back!!!

Anyone else having problems redeeming?

I tried to redeem $30 today and the terminal came up with a message "Account Issue" and that I needed to call member services.

My card collected points properly though.

And I have it set to "earn & redeem", so I have no idea what's going on.

Edit: I should also add that all my points are exactly where they're supposed to me. I'm not missing any.

No you aren`t correct. I have a PC Financial card and that is what I use when I shop. Someone added another card on an iphone to my account.

some people get PC gift cards at $20
some people do their renos with Home Depot cards
some like Canadian Tire cards
etc

OK, I called PC Plus to find out what was going on.

Apparently it's been too long since the last time I made a redemption.

Due to the recent theft of PC Plus points that's been going around, they decided to freeze my account from being able to make any redemptions, until I called into them and confirmed my information, and updated my password and security question.

Nice of them to not inform me in advance.
