Compared to my usual offers on stuff I never buy (seriously, they gave me dog food one week and baby crap) I will take *something* back on stuff I am buying anyway

They keep giving me everything that I don't want and like:

200 points for $1 spent on deli meat [yuck]
4000 for $20 spent on Pampers [no baby]
700 for Red ross [never used it before]
    400 Reya Naan [wtf??]

At least I got 400 points for every $2 spent on Maynards, Twix and Snickers! But did not get the points

Has anyone ever emailed PCPLUS points program (not points inquiry) to comment on their offers that they've been getting such as baby items (when you don't have a baby) and so on?

Now that Loblaws owns shopper's drug mart can we use the optimum card there too and not just PC points?

I mentioned it once when I called because they ignored my emailed points request after 5 days, he said they were targeted offers and nothing they can do on their end to change them. I asked how I had been targeted for baby items when I never buy them and he said "well you could be buying them elsewhere, it is demographics"

Yeah, but I am also old enough that my imaginary kids might not need diapers so that's a stupid idea

"..you could be buying them somewhere else"... WTH? Demographics thing is just silly.... its so random....there's a tiny chance they'd even know what you're buying elsewhere.... and if they did, I'd be concerned as to how they would know what I'm buying outside their store.

As for the offers just to get you to try new products.... that's just for their benefit and not rewarding their customers for their business.

Went to RCSS today to buy some frozen meatballs. I also had an offer for 1000"points for every $10 in boxed meat. Of course meatballs were $9.99.. But good news somehow I got the 1000 points. I was pleasantly surprised!

Did the 1000 points show right under the meatball on your bill? Did you buy any other box meat? This is how RCSS tricking you into buying more stuff because you shouldn't get any points when buying just one 1 box for 9.99.

It's just that they offer more points with the Mastercard. Same way that you can get airmiles Mastercard and earn for every 15$ instead of every 20$ as he base.

Over the past week I scored a ton of meat for my mom at Freshco that was around 50% off in total. Freezer full. Today I got 3500 points when you spend $35 on fresh meat. Grrrr...

It showed up right under meatballs, I didn't buy any other boxed meat, only bought a few items. I frequently get offers like this ie organic milk 600 points for every $3. Milk is priced at $5.99. Will have to see if it works.
