Just stupid, however puppies are carried that way by their moms as we know so hopefully he was only on there for a few seconds and it didn't hurt too much.

I would like to see said teens strung up by their you know whats and see how it feels.

Mama cats carry their kittens by the scruff of the neck, though (so do we, with cats and kittens) - wouldn't dogs do the same with puppies - by the scruff? (I really don't know, never had a dog.) That's different than being pinned up by the back fur!

And of course a teen should know better - but wow, look at all the attention he's gotten - he said he was 'bored' after all!

It was stupid and it is cruel, although I don't think he was intentionally trying to be cruel. Yes puppies are carried by the scruff of their neck by their mothers, but this is quite different (I would think) from having clothes pins pinched onto your skin and suspended in the air (which would pull I think).

Poor puppy! I can't imagine that being "fun" for him. I though he was in a back-pack hung from the clothesline....that would be cute. Definitely not this!

Maybe someone should "dry" the teenager on a clothesline...

Yes, they have bigger mouths so they do bite a little onto the back when carrying them but not where that puppy is placed and the size of the pup beside his face makes me wonder if it should even be away from its mother yet - it seems too chubby to be a tiny breed dog

Definitely cruel and ignorant. Momma dogs take very young pups entirely into their mouths to move them. If the pups can walk, they will simply follow momma around, there's no need for her to pick them up.

If a pup is often teased and mishandled, he/she can develop negative associations to teenagers/children....not so funny anymore when they become full grown. What's most cruel is when the dog loses it's life because parents fail to teach their children respect for other living animals. How often do those in vets' offices and shelters/rescues hear, "I don't know what happened, he just bit the child out of the blue"? There's nothing "out of the blue" about it. The dog was set up for failure .
