I don't think a show goes by without me crying - for both happy and sad reasons...
Nice to see that couple get married, so glad the daughter came around.
Great to have Miranda back, I missed her!
Glad that Trixie is getting help, I thought they might just have something awful happen to her.
Oh, the Thalidomide - I was silently yelling at the screen NO NO NO!

I was just thinking about it yesterday, how much I miss it - and there are weeks and weeks left until the Christmas special!
They are in the final week of filming season 5.
In the UK, dressing like them for Hallowe'en

Oh, no - bad news, I love her!
Miranda Hart will not appear in the fifth series of 'Call the Midwife'. The 42-year-old comedian has confirmed her character Chummy will not feature in the next instalment of the BBC One period drama as she's been too busy since landing a role in Hollywood earlier this year. She told Mirror Online: ''I am very sad not to have been able to be involved in series five but, on the plus side, maybe Chummy can come back in the next series an enlightened, crazed 60s hippy, having an affair with Paul McCartney. Watch this space.''

The Christmas special was absolutely wonderful - joy and tears.
Season five will start in the new year, and they have been renewed to have season six in 2017. YAY!
Great article here on why the series is so popular

I have to stop watching this show with my husband around - he hears me crying, comes in to comfort me and reminds me that it's just a tv show....
What a wonderful episode - gosh, they sure know how to tell stories well.

Why in the world aren't all tv shows made as well as this one? The writing, directing, acting....
Another good episode - yet some heartbreaking parts.
They have yet to figure out the thalidomide issue.
The actor playing Dr. Turner has written a book - a guide to this time, and a fictionalized diary

Oh, what a heartbreaking episode, with the death of Sister Evangelina.
But how this show is SO good at juxtaposing things - her bathing the baby, even with her disabled arm; after her death, the gown she wore to take her vows being used for the pregnant woman who had her baby right after she was married.
Wow, then the shoes on the coffin... everything done was so heartfelt in this episode, so gentle.
Things won't be the same at Nonnatus House.
And the shock of the Doctor finding out about the thalidomide -
It's going to be a long time to wait until the Christmas special, and the next season in the new year.
