OM Goodness Cowgirlmama.. your post made me lol.. Kinda a funny thing.. many years ago while I was still married I found out my husband took another woman ( I use that term loosely) on a snowmobiling trip with a group of his friends. Needless to say I found out a couple of hours before he returned, and myself with a couple of girls from the office staked out her house to verify. Sure enough, truck pulls up out front with both of them... Before they had a chance to get out, I ran to his window to confront them, and they were so shocked they refused to open up. So.. proud moment here.. I used the hammer I grabbed from the office before heading out to smash in the window and said they were explaining themselves whether they liked it or not.

Anyways.. in honour of that, when I returned to work the next day, I was gifted with a whole new business card that had nothing to do with travel... we each had one and I still keep mine in my desk as a reminder to never let someone run me down, or treat me like crap again.. you might get a chuckle..

Army Girl-I'm always amazed at the stupid things people say sometimes,so sorry you had to hear that.Ignore it,those people aren't worth the time it takes to think about them.When my daughter was born premature with many complications i heard a lot of dumba$$ hurtful comments,things like "poor little one,it would have been better if she had died at birth instead of having to live with the pain"and similar comments(better for who?was my reply and even one of her drs told us it was best if we didn't get attached...duh...anyway most of the time people just don't think before they say this stuff...so we just have to shrug it off...my daughter is 23 in perfect health,very intelligent,independent and she uses a wheelchair instead of walking so she has shown them all she was better off living instead of doing the more convenient thing and dying and you will show them to with every day that you grow stronger...Keep it up and don't give people like that a second thought.HUGS

Hugs to all the wonderful ladies here who are feeling a little down today,we all feel a little left out and ignored sometimes and need to be reminded how great we really are.I don't always comment on every post,sometimes i just read..But from reading i have learned that this group is made up of a lot of wonderful,amazing ladies.KUDOS to you all..

OH and I only have 53 days until my disney cruise/WDW/universal holiday,i'm so excited,had to get this in here as I am not allowed to say the D word anymore at home or work LMAO(maybe it has something to do with the fact that i have been counting down daily and announcing it to anyone who would listen since Day 453 LOL
I had to join several disney blogs as nobody i know will let me speak of it anymore...but i have made some really great friends on these blogs,we even started a cruise meet group and are have lots of plans to meet for breakfasts,dinners,etc.. can't wait.

Oh Jackie you can talk Disney with me anytime LOL.. Was just there with DD in Feb... I'm a little jealous would love to do a cruise sometime. I hope you have a ball.

Thank you for all the kind words that I’ve received from so many riders, you know who you are. Without knowing the circumstances you were there for me without question, and I do really want to thank you. I truly believe that fences can be mended through actions, words and time. I’ve cherished this package train family for its constant support of each other and sense of community. We’ve been through first dates, engagements, weddings, babies (congrats MeShell!), graduations, breakups, illness, depression and loss. Please continue to support one another through these ups and downs.

Okay I'm a bit behind here!!

so there I was in the middle of The Package Tour - Boys II Men, 98 degrees, and New Kids on the Block coming together for one glorious night. I was actually not in the mood for the concert at all but after Boys II Men came out and did amazing, I was in full swing of remembering the 90s. 98 degrees did not age super well but were still very entertaining.

then intermission and I was sitting there with my girl friend who also happens to be friends with my ex (they became friends once we started dating) and she begins to tell me "you need to really think about what you did so you don't make the same mistakes" and "you need to recognize that you hurt people, not just the guy but other people around him because you weren't honest with yourself", etc etc.

I burst into tears and went to the washroom missing the first few songs of New Kids on the Block.

ugh. it was so frustrating and upsetting.

I returned to my seat and enjoyed the rest of the night...but ugh...

thankfully NKOTB came out in full swing with their "Step by Step, ooooh baby!!!" hahahaha.

Your friend should have kept her lips zipped. And how come I didn't know about this concert lol. I was more a BSB fan but did line up for 98 degrees autographs back in the day.

I am very sad to hear that other people's opinions are bringing my girls down. For the most part I care very little about what people think about me I have neither the time or the patience for their crap, but yesterday I got hit pretty hard. I have been in and out of the hospital since the 8th of may. Every specialist we meet said I was not going to make it, the cancer had spread all through my bowl and they had to install an illiostomy basically I am working off my small intestine food and liquid do not have the time to Obsorb into my body basically dehydrating and malnutritioning me. I was down to 78 pds. I couldn't convince anyone to help me they wanted to give me medication and keep me comfortable until I passed. Of course during this time my husband and my chain of command and our peer group seem very supportive. My husband was back and forth to the hospital, struggling to keep everything at home together and keep our kids from going over the deep end. During this he was often called and said this might be it so start making arrangements. I stopped breathing twice and had to intubated. I finally convinced them at the cancer centre to give me a chance to fight for my life, I spent two weeks in the hospital and was given a feeding tube port and am finally gaining weight and getting better. I personally am excited I am working on building my strength getting out and trying a little bike riding. So yesterday after my husband chain of command had told my husband don't worry about sick leave or anything just take care of your wife he is brought in. The start by saying people have seen you and Tami out, if she not going to die you need to come back to work, which is fine he has been off for about ten days in total and we new this was the time but its what they said after that blew my mind. The then went on to say people are upset because I have been seen out and people are mad because if I'm doing well we should be at work, I have been out of the hospital a week. The jest of the whole conversation is people are angry because they thought I was going to die and didn't. It made me wonder if people were only being nice because they though I was going to bite it, and how dare I try and get better. I'm probably over sensitive but I cried my eyes out over this, I mean really I don't want to die just to appease people, I really thought people would be happy that despite the odds I have pulled through for now.

sorry to rant thanks for listening, DH and I have decided to camp for another week and just commute in for the day. I just feel like right now everything I do is being judged. Heading to the corner with my gankie ( I call my blanket this short for skanky blanket because the pugs lay on it with me lol)

Wow, What is wrong with some people. I just don't understand how someone could say that to you. I'm so sorry you had to go through that.

Armygirl.. I'm so sorry you have to deal with idiots like that when you are trying to get yourself well. If I wasn't so far away, I'd love to punch a few of them in the face for you... maybe not the ideal way to deal with it, but hopefully it would knock some sense into them.

Stay strong.. know that we are all here behind you, holding you up in the corner when you need it.

Nope no one jumped off, we didn't recieve tracking from a rider and no response to PM so we thought it best to replace the packages to avoid someone being left without.

I started off stalking this train as I was riding the book exchange package train, and I spoke up when I had something to say and liked the posts I agreed with, I'm not much of a talker more of listener I did follow through every post I cried when you cried I felt when you felt, and I loved when you all loved..... this is a perfect example of the reason the SC communtiy is a major part of my life. THere have been people feeling left out and not as well known as others that may have ridden other train together or may have even met in person, and this may be why I don't always speak up especially when its a personal matter and my opinion maybe out of place, but I see many of these ladies haven't met and are planning a meet as I have met a few SCer;s and have become great friends with them even this that I have not met. I try not to ever feel any way and not take anything to personally, on that note
I can't believe someone would take advantage of another person, or say bad words to someone going through personal termoil, but it does not surprise me in the least that these lovely ladies stepped up and spoke out when thigns need ed to be said to make another woman remember how important she is and that went out of their way to makes thing right as to not leave anyone out.
I love all you generous and loving ladies evne if we have never spoken know that I am thinking of you and am always here if you need to talk xoxoxoxox
