    any place i've ever worked at, if we found a one cent item, we were supposed to remove them all from the sales floor and leave them to be written off and destroyed.

    I have gotten things for 1 cent before. It certainly is not my intent for someone to get a bad report nor is it the cashiers fault that something scans for 1 cent. Negative comments are why I never post brags....most likely will not post again.

    If you find them at your store for 1 cent LMK if you are able to purchase them.

    Awesome that you got to keep them as they'd be destroyed anyway.
    I had the 1 cent come up when I tried to purchase some body wash at Zellers a while back. The cashier wouldn't let me make the buy. I was so miffed. Good for you!

    Good for you for finding this deal and sharing with us.

    A few years ago, someone posted on another forum that PSP games were scanning for .10 each at Walmart. One guy went to the self checkout with his haul and the machine kept on saying "10 cents" in a real loud voice that it attracted a lot of people in line, lol. I got a ton of them too.

    the rexall in my town has a table at the front door, after holidays they have signs with products for 1 penny. They advertise and sell it. Maybe it is store manager/owners choice.
