Yesterday I flew from Detroit city to billings montana via Denver. When checking in, the Kiosk asked if I'd accept $150 voucher to take a different flight because the flight 'might' be over booked! I said yes!!
All I had to do was spend almost 4 hours hanging at the Denver airport, which I kind of enjoyed anyway!!

NIce brag..Mr P often gets asked about this but since he's flying for business meetings, it's a lot harder to justify.
Though sometimes he's stopped in the states rather than get an over booked flight which lands at midnight and he has a 2 hour drive home.
Short answer : no Long answer : NOOOOOOOOOOO!

Sweet! Denver sure has enough going on that you can kill four hours in there. Last time we went through, this happened due to weather in the winter when they have to add more fuel and kick people off until the next flight. Unfortunately DH had to work the next day so someone else took them up on the offer which includes supper, a night in a hotel and the voucher. Pretty nice deal if you can be flexible. Hope your next trip is fabulous!

Wow! That's terrific! DH and I are actually flying from Detroit to Denver this Tuesday. Different airline, though. But we could certainly be flexible!

10 years ago in the winter my flight never started due some technical reason..and we had a free meal ,supper at the hotel and a night at the hotel...Free voucher is great
The goal is to live day by day not to much thinking hahaha !!!!
