now that is tacky.. i get asking for gift cards for a wedding since many couples already live together or already have 2 of everything so they don't need another toaster or blender... but there are polite ways to put it.. you do not tell people how much the plate costs you should not expect guests to pay for your wedding

I know cash/gift cards are what's expected at weddings these days, and honestly that's what I'd give anyway but people have to realize that when they're having all these events costing money(engagement parties, bridal showers, bachlor parties, stag and does etc) and weddings that take up your whole freaking weekend because they're so far away that some people don't have few hundered bucks left to cover the cost of an over priced dinner. People are shelling out that much money just to go to your wedding, don't expect people to help pay for your wedding too.

The bus decided not to stop in my city like it normally does. Boo. But luckily my permanent crown is ready so I don't have to get another temp! But the amount of money I'm spending on this stupid tooth is crazy!

My heard is breaking every time the puppy next door howls and whines. New neighbors beside me - both work 8am to 5pm - and the puppy is maybe two months old - every few hours cries, whines and howls. I know they are crate training it but its so loud not even the tv drowns the puppy out. I made a complaint and the person side them did - so he is getting notices for having a puppy without telling the office and they charge 25 a pet - I pay $100 a month for four cats, notice of noise slamming doors and making noise all the time.
We are going to be moving end of March to another place something with thick wall.

ohh those are the worst.. like paper cuts they sting something fierce! if you've never tried it i'd suggest picking up some "new skin" you can get it at walmart fairly cheap it's like liquid bandaid (little bottle with a brush sorta like nail polish) i find it a godsend on those little cuts it stings when it goes on because it has a disinfectant in it but seals it so it won't keep getting caught (and also lets you wash your hands without soaking a bandaid)

The crown at the dentist did not want to go on easilly like they normally are supposed to. They got another dentist in the practice to look at it and he pressed on my jaw so hard digging the crown into my gums... I guess he didn't realize that I wasn't frozen...A 20 minute appointment ended up being 1hr 30min. I'm very happy with my dentist, but not this other dentist.

Vehicle troubles!!
I'm trying to sell our second vehicle (2003 Ford Windstar van, low kms), since we no longer have a need for it. It has been a great vehicle, been in my family since brand new, no real problems just general maintenance. It needs a new battery ($130), so I swapped that out.
My friend decides she wants to buy it (we agree on $2,500)... so we get everything set up. She is coming on Tuesday to get it... so I go to start it up Monday night and it won't turn over. Something is wrong with the starter, so my brother helps me by-pass the starter to get the engine going and I take it to the shop. Tell my friend to come Thursday instead. Shop fixes the problem, I go to pick it up, take my spare keys since its cold and try to start it before I go into the shop to pay. Won't turn over... click click click. Tell them, but no mechanic back in until Wednesday morning. Then they call me back later Tuesday night and say its fine, they can start it no problem they put it in the shop for the night. So I go pick it up, and it starts fine. ($150) Drive it around all day Wednesday, not realizing that I'm using the main set of keys this time. I put the keys together on one ring so they are all ready to go Thursday morning. This morning, go to start, won't turn over!! Anti-theft is triggered... realize that the spare key, must not be programmed correctly. Will need to take to dealer to reprogram... if it decides to let me start it again.
If I put much more $$ into it, I'll be keeping it since it won't be worth it to sell for only $2,500.00!! Oh well, murphys law, right?
Thanks for letting me rant!!Last edited by beckie.c; Thu, Feb 26th, 2015 at 11:14 AM.

oh i love it! hubby loves it too (he often gets little paper cuts on his hands and little cuts from work and that sting like mad when you put lotion on, or you can't wash your hand when you have a bandaid on without soaking it) you can find it on the shelf in the pharmacy area by the bandaids and it's pretty cheap too looks like this http://www.walmart.ca/en/ip/new-skin.../6000022634805 we use this more then we use bandaids in our house
