I agree with redheadlois that krysta lynne likely had a wasps' nest forming over her door. Papery grey layers, etc. I would have thwacked the nest too with a piece of wood or broom had I seen one on the underside of the roof overhang (where they like to set up a home here). Nest-mash it with a broom one night. As for the wasps-they may move onto another site or set up in a hollow if there is one in the ground.
Be careful around brush or woodpiles-had near call with something very yellow and black in a pile of wood cutoffs by the garbage bin while breaking branches to bag for collection. I moved back pretty quickly.
Bees would have left waxy cells with honey and that would be a sticky mess.2021-Bring on the sunshine, sweets & online shopping.

Vesper you are hilarious !!
Here is the old birdhouse that has been taken over by bees. I was out in the garden a while back and heard some sort of vibrating sound....tracked it down to the birdhouse! Now there's wax all over the outside of it.

I suspect it's wasps not bees (or catholics)
I'd just turn the vase over and let them find their way out.
They'll fly away.
Remove any remnant of the hive above your door, maybe spray a little raid to keep them away.I can't profess to understand God's plan. Christ promised the resurrection of the dead. I just thought he had something a little different in mind.

I agree it sounds like wasps. They usually build a papery grey nest. Like Electric Viking mentioned, I would spray some raid and knock down any remainder of the nest. Wasps and hornets are just plain nasty. I'm allergic to them and was close to death after being stung several times by hornets last summer. I carry an epi-pen. Bees are important. However if a nest is too close to where children play, someone is allergic they can be removed. I heard most but not all bee keepers will remove a hive (keeping them alive) and relocate them to their apiary etc.

lmao. funny thread.
You're brave! I wouldn't have even went near it, i hate wasps/bees! Ahhhh. I am totally that girl that runs away like a weirdo when I see one.
A couple weeks ago I went to put DS down for a nap and there was a HUGE bee on his window curtain...I didn't want to put him to bed with a bee in there (!!!) so I grabbed a book and threw it at it and ran out of the room, lol...peeked back in...I missed!Tried again, got it under the book this time!! There was no way I was double checking though so left it there 'til DH came home. Ahhh, just thinking about it gives me the jitters.
