I have also been having same problem since yesterday. As it doesn't seem to be affecting everyone, I'm guessing it is those of us that use IE that are having the problems. IE seems to always be the cause of problems. I will really need to load another browser onto my laptop at home, because I have other problems with IE and SC too.

Same problem here. Takes so long to load the blog page that I don't even bother trying to scroll down anymore. I figured that it was a flash problem with all the pictures needing to be loaded on that page. Started happening awhile ago for me.

I do not have any issues

I am moving this to site help as that is where Forum Expert looks for issues. It would be helpful to him if those having issues could provide the following information

Operating system (Windows/Mac and type - Vista etc)
Browser (IE, Firefox, Chrome, Opera, Safari etc) and version # (you can usually find this in the help menu on your browser)
If you do get a pop up saying a script is non responsive, can you tell us which one or screenshot the message
Is it just the forum, just the blog or both?

To try and fix it yourself since it is not for all users

    Clear your cache http://www.wikihow.com/Clear-Your-Browser%27s-Cache
    Clear cookies http://www.wikihow.com/Clear-Your-Browser%27s-Cookies
Make sure your browser is up to date to ensure plugins etc are working well

Ighend, the blog is run separately, I will let Boo know. Does it load at all? Do you get a message?

I had this problem also! No idea what "running script" is! It was on IE.

Then everything got super slow and when I went to edit, everything was blank.

I downloaded Google Chrome and have had no problems (so far - it's only been 4-5 days).

Thanks Pixels I looked but couldn't find that thread FE checks...I have no idea what a "long running script " is but I get that often saying "page is not loading due to long running script...then you can click to stop the script and then the page loads....

After an extensive look behind the scenes, everything looks normal. I can only suggest it may be a browser add-on slowing down page load or an ISP issue.

The blog page does load but it loads very slowly. I don't get any messages but it hangs for a bit and then it's really jumpy when you are trying to scroll down. I'm using Chrome: Version 27.0.1453.116 m
Google Chrome is up to date.

    Original Poster here.

It's been 48 hours now and it's still super-slow. The blog runs fine for me as does every other website I go to. It's only SC, and in particular the forum, that has slowed down and it's only been for the past 2 days now. Prior to that, I had no problems with SC.

I use IE and cookies are deleted regularly.

Mine is still running slow and sometimes the page will not load at all. I am still getting the script errors as well. I am using Internet Explorer and yes I have cleared my cache.

I get the same problem with my work computer and also get the script error on it as well.

    Yes, I have.

Please keep in mind that, in my case, it is ONLY the SmartCanucks site that is affected.

I am having this problem on my desktop and my laptop at home as well as my computer at work. All are IE, but different versions. Work and home desktop are Windows XP, personal laptop is Windows 7.

I have cleared my cache on all three computers.

Other sites are loading at a normal speed for me. It is only the SC forum that is this slow.
