I'm all shaken up..

I'm sick, so I was laying in bed attempting to nap when my Mom yells 'get your phone, theres a fight' then runs outside the apartment. At first I thought I was dreaming so I stayed there and when I asked my Mom what we were having for lunch, and no one answered I knew it wasn't a dream.

I get outside to an old man, about 65-70 bloody as heck with broken glasses.

Then 3 neighbors I know, a baby, and a dog full of blood and adrenaline.


Turns out this old man shot at one of the guys' dogs. So the owner went to his window where he shot from (below ground level) and the old man spit in his face.

This old man is known for smashing breaker boxes and shooting at this dog (only the breakers of that neighbor)

Then the man came outside after that, with a baseball bat and hit one guy over the head !! Infront of a little 2 year old. (They were outside with the dog, just hanging around)

THEN, I didn't know how to use this stupid new phone and couldn't call 911 right away..

As it's probably guessed, this crazy old man tried to FIGHT the cops (throwing punches)

It's always quiet here, but everyone here has been having trouble with the man for YEARS. Just now they have a witness.

Oh wow! I don't blame you for wanting to leave for the summer! I can't imagine living somewhere, where you have to worry about getting shot at while walking your dog!

He's getting charged with

Assault
Assault with a weapon (the bat)
Assault with a firearm
Animal Cruelty
Animal Cruelty with a firearm
Assault to a police officer

It's only this man, it's such a safe neighborhood and the neighbors are so trusting ( they get my mail when we're gone and stuff ) but this guy has been here forever.

he's probably going to get evaluated with the Royal Hospital.. which is really where he needs to go, not jail

He sounds like he's got a few problems with thinking straight...alzeimers disease comes to mind...makes people do very strange things, although it sounds like he's been looney-tunes for a lot longer than that...I hope he gets locked up for a while..maybe he'll get "scared straight". Glad everyone is mostly safe, hope the neighbors that got hurt are okay. Poor dog, I hope it survives as well, no animal deserves that, especially from someone it doesn't know and who doesn't know the dog.

He's lucky he didn't kill someone, otherwise instead of going to Royal Ottawa he would probably come to our facility. Regardless sounds like this guy needs lots of help.

Looks like they're keeping him for a while. He pushed a cop through a wall.

Everything went calm and back to normal now.
