This morning I did a 7 a.m. run to get gas and then onto to W-Mart. A dollar for 10 lbs. of potatoes? woo hoo!! I nearly loaded a bag 2 lb. bag of carrots
in my cart priced at $1.97 when I found a huge bag of monster large carrots on the reduced cart! Easily more than 5 lbs. in there for $2.00 and another
$1.00 bag with 2 sleeves of green onions, 1 large gala apple, 4 bell peppers and 4 large tomatoes. I love it when they make bags up with a combo of fresh
fruits and veg. They had JUST replenished the reduced cart moments before I pulled up to it.
I also grabbed 2 of the Maple Leaf whole chx's. Each of them were under $7.00 and 1 of them is already Air Fryer roasted up and in the fridge. I feel I've
knocked enough off of the to-do list today.

You raise a good point. Also, some are only 1-ply and I do not know how to compare between the thicker and thinner sheets.
In the future, I will try to mention the number of sheets / roll and the price.
The $15 pack Freshco 2-ply 404 sheets / roll x 30 = 12120 / 30 = $0.00124 / sheet
$10 pack RCSS Purex 2-ply had 363 sheets / roll x 20 = 7260 / 20 = $0.00138 / sheet
$13 package Cottonelle 1-ply 312 sheets / roll x 18 = 5616 / 18 = $0.00231 / sheet
$8.88 package Purex 2-ply 202 sheets / roll x 30 = 6060 / 30 = $0.00147 / sheet
If I have to use more of the cheap stuff (like Freshco's Condiment brand) to get the job done, then it isn't such a good deal anymore.
Currently I just do a quick calculation for price/roll and leave it at that. My brain isn't able to determine price/sheet on the fly. My quick rule of thumb any brand with a price < $0.16 / roll is sufficiently cheap for my standards. YMMVLast edited by HermanH; Sat, Feb 17th, 2024 at 02:35 PM.

They should make a app for your phone that you load in the brand and the price and the price per sheet comes up.
Until then i also do the quick math per single roll to figure out if it is worth the price. Some sales are better than others but they almost all are better than running out and having to pay full price
