My Brother just got back from celebrating a 20 year anniversary with his wife in Las Vegas. He wanted to take her for a romantic gondola ride at the Venetian. He was prepared to pay $40 each to share a gondola ride with another couple, but when they got in line, a couple came up and said they had tickets they couldn't use and gave them to BrotherB fir free and wouldn't accept any payment. AND they were the "single couple" tickets worth we'll over $100. So they got their romantic ride for free serenaded by a classical music student gondalier!!

I wanted to make something quick, easy, sort of healthy (?? ha ha ) and as cheap as possible.
for the family on Sat afternoon. Turned out quite good. ( well....from what they tell me and the yummy sounds they made )
Bought 3 premade thin crust pizza crusts and 1 jar pizza sauce from The Dollar Tree. ( all items are $1.25 )
Used 1/2 pkg of large sliced pepperoni ( bought at WM for $5.29 ), 2/3 of a bar of BD mozz on sale from FreshCo ( $3.75 ) and fried up the remaining bacon in the meat drawer ( which was free a while back )
So simple and came to approx $10.00 to make all 3.Last edited by walkonby; Sun, Aug 6th, 2017 at 07:28 AM.

Helped another family friend yesterday with some cheap groceries....
No Frills:
Blackberries (7): $7.00 - $2.25(3 @ $0.75) - $2.00(4 @ $0.50) = $2.75/7
Strawberries (8): $16.00 - PM(Blue Sky; 2 Split Trans.; $8.00 OFF) = $8.00/8
Piller's Ham: $2.00 - $1.00 Coupon = $1.00
And on my big shop on Tuesday, picking them up...
Campbell's Soup (4): $3.20 - PM(Valumart; $1.20 OFF) - $2.00(4 @ $0.50) = $0.00

we went to wendy's and used coupons for two can dine meal and a small frosty, then we went to the local spray park. There were only 1 other family there so we had lots of room. Our 19 months old was sooo happy and grinning the whole time; it was her first time at a spray park. It was priceless!! We took lots of pictures.

A big Tuesday with some big savings....
RCSS Trans. #1:
Cheese Strings (4): $17.92 - PM(FB; $10.40 OFF) - $4.00(4 @ $1) = $3.52/4
Kind Bars (4): $7.96 - PM(Metro; $2.47 OFF) = $6.20 - $3.00(3 @ $1,Was 4, but she didn't put it through) = $3.20/4
RCSS Trans. #2:
VIPoo: $6.98 = $7.89 - $3.00(Coupon) - $7.89(MIR) = -$3.00
Cheerios (2 @ 260g): $8.36 - PM(NF; $4.36 OFF) = $4.00/2
Romaine Lettuce: $3.99 - PM(GT; $2.11 OFF) + 600PC = $1.28
No Name OJ: $3.68 + 600PC + 600PC = $2.48
Can't remember the rest of the shop and already put the receipt in the envelope for the MIR...
Also, need an opinion on a SCOP...
The item in question was the Vim Wipes (60pk), the shelf tag said $2.88 Save $0.11, but the date was past for this sale, took one to a scanner and it said $5.99, so I believed I would get SCOP, so I got one of each kind they had since all the prices showed $2.88 and all of them rang $5.99. When I got to the till, they rang at $5.99 so I asked for SCOP and went with the lady to show her the tag in which her and another colleague looked at the tag and determined that someone (another employee) had put the wrong tag up, with the wrong SKU, but right item name. We took them back to the till and the lady, along with now a supervisor(??) said that "No, you aren't eligible for SCOP, the best we can do is $2.88 for you", I declined stating that I was only getting it because I believed the store had made a mistake, what do you all think, SCOP or not??
No Frills Trans. #1:
Piller's Ham (8): $16.00 - $8.00(8 @ $1) + 3,200PC = $ 4.80/8
No Frills Trans. #2:
Driscoll's Blackberries (14): $14.00 - $12.00(12 @ $1) - $1.50(2 @ $0.75) + 7,000PC = -$6.50/14
No Frills Trans. #3 (Later at another No Frills):
Driscoll's Blackberries (2): $2.00 - $2.00(2 @ $1) = $0.00
Lean Ground Beef (1.730kg): $6.84($1.79/lb SALE) + 1,200PC = $5.64

About the SCOP, you can bet that other customers saw the price, picked some up and didn't bother to check their receipt.
If at the store level you are denied, the RCSS toll free customer service number or complaint form on their website is the next step. Let them know the explanation that was given by the store employees. Employees are responsible to ensuring the price on the shelf will be the price at the cash register, IMHO.
