Hey everyone,
I was wondering , what were your pregnant symptoms and how did you get rid of them ?
I have them all with my second pregnancy (I'm 13.5 weeks). But the worst is my skin is so dry it's peeling off. The more I scrub and exfoliate the more comes off. Like if i had a huge sunburn. I put oil and creams and it always all flaky and nasty. I never had this issue ever !!! Any help ?
Hurting boobies... Anything to make that better ?? I feel like they will fall off...
I never had ANY symptoms with DD except fatigue .. this is soooooo new..

Not sure about the sore boobs... I only had sore nipples, and it was worse when I faced the water in the shower, or accidently brushed up against something! ouch! Hopefully they go away for you soon!
I had all day sickness from 7-13 weeks... I tried those preggo pops candy, which seemed to work.... but then I randomly started getting a toothache... Hmmmm went to the dentist had a cleaning( so not fun going when pregnant, with a strong gag reflex- poor nurse kept asking me are you okay? lol) stopped eating the candies, and switched back to sensitive toothpaste, and surprise! no more toothache! Phew...
Yikes on the skin!! early on in pregnancy my rosacea really flared up... making me look all nasty!
so none of that really answered your questions now did it! lolGet paid for your opinion! http://legerweb.com/J4Z12

Hey Tasha
When are you due?
Im expecting with my first baby, im due Feb 16th. We must be close in due dates!
I have noticed my face seems to have litlle tiny bumps all over it, not noticable, but i can feel them. weird?
My boobs are a bit tender, (at thyme maternity they have a cream for swollen boobs but im not sure if it works) but no itcy / flakey skin for me.
I have been using palmers coco oil, i got a bunch of free samples last year at the baby time show, and have been using that i really like it.
such an exciting time

Thank you all
nice to see I'm not alone. I have the palmers cocoa butter but the lotion . Actually it smells like chocolate protein shake lol. I also use almond oil , Moroccan Argan oil and aveeno. I alternate .. But I do lotions in the am oil at night . It seems to have helped a bit ..
I'm due feb 8th but my doc thinks since DD was early (2 weeks) ill probly be early again.

Yes i agree it does smell like chocolate!
Hopefully as you move into the 2nd trimester the skin problems will go away
I was told I will probably go early as well. Im type 1 diabetic and diabetics usualy have big babies (ahhhh) lol, so they induce you early if the baby gets too big!

I would've thought it would be the other way around for the size of babies ...
The skin all of a sudden is a bit Bette brut I'm being way more vigorous in applying my creams and oils and exfoliating in the shower. So much work !
The nausea subsided only to be replaced by crazy heartburn

I'm glad the nausea is better - mine was all day sickness instead of morning, and the best trick someone told me - which worked - was having a few soda crackers in bed BEFORE you get out in the morning. That, and real ginger ale, got me through!
For your dry skin, best to go with creams instead of lotions, and put cream on right out of the shower or bath while your skin is a bit moist; it holds the moisture in better.
Shoppers - or Pharmaprix I suppose for you - has their own brand (not sure if it's still called Life) cream in a tub - they go on sale lots, and are a good basic cream. Just make sure you smell them first (some of them seemed icky smelling to me).
But the BEST overall cream is Glaxal Base.
I didn't have heartburn (watch what you eat, I would imagine), nor sore boobs, so can't help you there.

Bio oil and shea butter are also good for the skin.
I had morning sickness all day, had heartburn and some particular food would make me nauseous. I was throwing up a lot so I was prescribed Diclectin.

I have no children but I know 2 people who actually said they know they are pregnant because they get heartburn. Both have said never have they had heartburn and after giving birth it was gone but all through pregnancy they had horrible heartburn.
I have heard of some drinking milk and others drinking warm water (this one I do not get), not really sure if either help.

Oh man I had it all with my 2nd DS! Started with sore boobs and a horrible stuffy nose that lasted for like 4.5 months! Nausea the whole first trimester. Horribly dry skin where I'd get little patches on my cheeks. Crazy swollen gums so every time I brushed my teeth and flossed I'd be spitting blood into the sink. Heartburn, migraines, back pain. You name it, I had it :-S all worth it though and thank god the labour was a million times easier than with first DS. Good luck to all you pregnant mums out there!

Typically with most of these body aching symptoms, they tend to go away through the second trimester. Although every mother is different and every pregnancy is different. Even if the dry skin does subside, continue to moisturize. I know it is a lot of work but your body will thank you for it down the road... just wait, your glow is around the corner!
