What is young?
Answer: 4 years old, starting junior kindergarten
What is old?
Answer: 84 years old, and approaching the end
Why 84?
In Canada, men can live to 80 nowadays and women can live to 82. I figure if you make it past 82 and you are female, you're oldLast edited by Shwa Girl; Wed, Sep 11th, 2013 at 06:25 PM.

Oh did that sound rude? I'm sorry, I did not word that good. What I mean to say was, many young folks take life to serious and don't take the time to enjoy the small things in life that make it so wonderful. Where as elderly people view things very different.
Little eccentric sweethearts like you, do enjoy the small things, that is probably why you coupon. .50 cents has value!!
Yahoo!! Sorry for sounding rude! Ha ha! The Viagara part is true, if you are nice to your wife you will still get kissey at 77 years old! Yahoo x 4

I guess the reason I embrace getting older is that with Viagra, there is no downside anymore. Maybe some health issues.
most older folks appreciate the little things. Maybe it's a state of mind? I was going to to post this in the 'LOVE' post before, but I think it is all a state of mind, age, love and joy. That state of mind mean you feel the full glory of each day (most of them anyway), it's why you are curious about what others like, what they enjoy and feel genuine excitement when they achieve and share there sorrow when they grieve.
It's this state of mind that causes them to reminisce about the good times, they don't regret not having the newest fashions, having more cheap flings, drinking more at parties... they recall the tender moments in there life.
Not all old people are like this. Some are angry and bitter. Read that because of baby boomers, the unhappiest generation is about to enter old age, it will be interesting how that goes.
I hope above all else, young people would embrace what is in front of them, what they can change about themselves and create memories that will endure there entire life!
OK, back to bird (and babe) watching.

Young is what I used to be, old is what I'm going to be some day. I'll be turning 64 later this month and I certainly don't feel it most days; I've dumped the L'Oreal because I really like my silver hair (I actually get compliments on it now that it's healthy again), but I don't appreciate some lines I have so I deal with those with "lotions and potions" and a good dose of Botox now and then. Some days I feel like I'm back in my 30s, others like I'm approaching my 90s. But like Vesper said, it's maintaining a positive attitude through whatever each day throws at me, having financial security, leaving any regrets behind, appreciating the present (particularly through our daughter, SIL and our grandson), and having a husband who still holds my hand when we walk together....it's all still very good....
