my mom used to say this a lot and I find myself saying it now. 'patience is a virtue, seldom found in a woman, never in a man'
When life hands you lemons, make a lemon pie... lemonade will be all like WTH?!?

"they sure got their knickers in a twist", "trippy", and of course, "that's the bees knees" (wherever that came from...anyone know?)

Sometimes I say ' Simmer down! ' if somebody is irked.
My Polish friends don`t get it lol
I don`t know if that is old but my mother said it so, it must be.

Lol...thanks, Natalka...and for the record, I think "dogs' bullocks" are charming and toooo cute!! I also didn't know that a "dumb cluck" was a 20's expression...we used it in high school...lol..! I also use the word, "cattywampous" or however it's spelled, to describe things all askew or muddled up.....I'll have to look that one up when I'm not working on this wedding and Baptism...

'It only hurts the first time' - to someone who is hesitant to try something new
'empty barrels make the most noise' - to someone who seems to be thrown off by someones stupid discouragement.
'Nice pair of sweater' - don't ask... the body language is the punchline
'The Fuzz' - Old term for law enforment
'Hey Meatball' Old police term for person if ill repute.
