Thread: RCSS rant

Just have to rant to a second to let off some steam. RCSS (in Ottawa) charged me for 2 bunches of Kale when I had only one. I can understand that the cashier made a mistake because Kale is quiet bushy. It would be easy to assume there were 2 in the plastic bag if you didn't know that kale is big for one bunch. So I called the store, but there was no answer at the courtesy desk. OK....I waited and tried again, only to finally get a rather brusk response and told to bring in my receipt. Today I made a special trip to the store, waited in line until it was my turn....only to discover that I didn't have my receipt. I really thought I had it in my wallet, but I couldn't find it. So I made the trip for nothing. $2.50 for the kale + gas + pain on my poor, arthritic, neuropathetic-due-to-chemotherapy feet - all for nothing.....I just wish the cashier had charged me properly in the first place. He was in a bad mood that day....no matter how hard I tried, he wouldn't return my smile.
Well, I feel better now.
Appreciate this "Rants Forum." Do you know....I think people treat me poorly now because my hair is awful from the chemo and the after-affects of medication. I feel so insecure going out without my wig, but thought I would try. Wish I hadn't now.

so, they didn't reimburse you? a customer friendly decision on their part would have been to do so as you wouldn't go out of your way if there wasn't a legitimate error. sorry for the aggravation you experienced and hope the rest of your week goes better.

You know, I would have thought it good customer service for the RCSS CSR to offer to reimburse me anyway, even if it was for a store credit. I shop there quite frequently. (Today I shopped at Food Basics, LOL.)
...side issue... Do you know how good a cup of tea tastes when you haven't been able to have one? It tastes absolutely incredible. Life is good!
