Because of people like this, company's have change the design of coupon holders. The new ones in my area have a metal screw in them and when you try to take EVEN 1 coupon, it rips the paper to h*ll. They has made it almost impossible for legit couponers to use them now.

I don't think you are actually allowed to resell it...mainly I think that because what about taxation...i'm sure the government wants their 2 cents. When you resell a vehicle you repay the tax and the small business owner that buys from Costco has to remit tax....that's what I wonder....although I'd happily ignore that if the coupon issue was resolved....haha!

Not much difference selling it on facebook than selling them at a yard sale. IMO. Not saying it's right but where do you draw the line?

I'm a little surprised that people are taking them up on these offers. You can get these items at the same prices in the store without having to deal with creeps on the internet.

This is like a home business so hopefully the government will find out and request taxes. That's the part a lot of people forget, you have a maximum that you can sell and declare it as your own, after that it becomes a business. They cracked down on Ebay, hopefully they will do the same for FB. Once they come knocking, you have to prove them wrong and that's difficult to do when you're out on the open like this.

I know they have definitely changed the format. What I am noticing now though is that someone in my area is doing is completely destroying that screw and pulling it off altogether on both sides! I mean they don't take the whole bunch but still you have to be pretty desperate for a coupon if you are tearing it apart?
As far as those screw things, I have found a little trick ( because just about every tear pad in my area is screw style now) if you grab 2-3 at a time and pull the coupons off the pad up to the screw, then tug towards you just a little you can loop it over the screw without damaging the coupon too badly. You have to hold it right near the screw though to not damage the coupon. I still get a little tear one way or the other but overall not nearly as bad as ripping the coupon all to hell.
Hope that helps some of ya!

Eww why would people buy off a random person on Facebook who doesn't have a store or anything? Could be counterfeit or off the back of a truck. Why risk it? Also, the prices are cheaper in the store lmao. Probably costs sellers more in gas and time than the few cents profit they're actually making. Not a smart biz model
Re: the screw, I also hate it because even just one coupon rips. I hate struggling with it and looking like I'm trying to take a whole tearpad, when I'm just trying to get one. I keep thinking stockboys are judging me

i recently got 4 windex for tax only, and i got stuck with the cashier that doesnt like me much already because i PM and stack coupons.
she had the gull to say "oh...so your cleaning a lot of windows then" , i had to answer, "no" and grin while she pricematched and took my coupons, muahahahah
they buy it because its cheaper than in the store.
at my flea market by me, almost EVERY asian seller has a box full of counterfeit gillette razor cartridges , people dont clue in that they cost 30-40 instore, and these sellers are selling them for $15 each.....they see the deal, so they buy.....Last edited by mcon; Sun, Oct 6th, 2013 at 02:21 AM.

There is just no excuse for clearing off brand new tearpads within minutes of them being up in a store. People like this hurt couponers and low income people that need these coupons.... and why... for profit. What goes around comes around... I am sure they will get theirs in the end.
