QOTD: Fri 11 Oct: Long Weekends

Another long weekend is upon us!
Aside from the holiday this weekend, what do you spend the extra day off doing?
...do you enjoy and appreciate the extra day off, or would you prefer a regular two day weekend?

I catch up on everything that I did not have time to take care of during the week.

I am working this 3 days

Actually more like 2 and a half LOL ... I am working saturday and sunday 12 hours each and 6 - 7 hours on monday ... depends on how I feel .... only working monday cuz I get regular pay plus time and a half

I usually just hang around at home, catch up on house work or have friends over.

I love long week-ends. I'm actually off today and next Tuesday so make that an extra looonngggg week-end
Going to Montreal on Sunday, movie with DH on Tuesday (while DS is at the daycare yipeee)
Today I'm just doing the chores so I don't have to do them tomorrow.
Also tidying up what will be the baby's bedroom. The closet is full of crap

long weekends are awesome..
this weekend will be about getting ready for the winter..cleaning up the yard. planting the flowers that need to be done.
putting away yard furniture.
im making dinner on Sunday(as dh works Monday) and going to take the extras to my parents.
it will be catch up on laundry, clean out laundry room..ie vacuum.
put away air conditioner in closet. reorganize closet.
deliver special packages.
really hoping to get to park to take some new family pics.

This will be my first ever Thanksgiving weekend in over 20 years not having to work, woohoo! I'm doing housework and baking today and will try to head out to the park later this afternoon. The plan tomorrow is a hike and a picnic lunch, Sunday our Thanksgiving dinner, and back to hills for more hiking on Monday.

Catching up on my sleep and Sleeping in this long weekend I love long weekends!!!

I love the extra day! I plan on cleaning, sorting through a few closets. I'm donating a few bags of goods to theSalvation Army or Goodwill. Also a few flowers that need to be pulled from the garden.

I took Friday off and we drove to my hometown early that morning. Then we came home late last night (Sunday). Best of both worlds - got a three day weekend with friends and family, plus the Monday to re-coup from the busy weekend. It worked out that I had a four day work week, a four day weekend, and will have another four day work week coming up. Pretty awesome.
