I feel your disappointment, sometimes a MIR is not always worth the risk, sometimes the fine print messes me up, or I screw up the receipts somehow. Using 2 stamps per rebate is not worth the trouble I agree.

I also have my Kelloggs Rice Krispies (4), sitting to be mailed.
I was scared of those stamps.
With four cardboard sign ups, and 4 pins, I knew it was getting heavy.

Trim off the edges of the forms so you can just read the wording and there is no blank space left. This worked for me and I got it down to 30g exactly!

I wonder if we can send one form two pins..
It's pretty redonkulous to have to send the same form twice...

thats awful!
i must say though. i have two post offices in close proximity. one of them is awful. the people are rude and snippy with me and give me nothing but a hard time. the other one is super awesome, has chatty wonderful people who obviously enjoy their work. (at least to some extent lol)
sometimes its worth the extra walking time or seeking out to find somewhere that your business is appreciated.
i remember once i waited in line behind a girl mailing a freaking hundred things, when i got to the counter (i had my three year old son with me) the man commented how wonderful he had behaved and yada yada... and he gave me a lower rate for the package i was sending simply because i waited so patiently. (almost $8 cheaper than it should have been)... another time a lady was chatting me up and i couldnt find the change i had for my stamp i needed, she took the quarter i could find and said dont worry about the rest.
not huge discounts. but so so appreciated.

Yes, I hear ya, I am from a rural area and my post office lady is "by the book". She weighs everything!! LOL, so when I think something is flirting with the 30 gram mark I always mail it in the city, which is only a half hour away. Never had one sent back yet

By the book doesn't even matter sometimes. They may weigh it at the post office but then someone in a distribution centre reweighs it and deems it overweight and returns it to sender. It's happened to me and I went to complain to the post office because what's the point of waiting 20 mins in line for them to weigh it if the letter just gets returned!

Usually I mail mine in the orange-ish type medium sized envelopes. If I am mailing the snack forms I put 2 forms on one half and two on the other half to even it out! I have only used one stamp to mail. I never fold mine either!
