    Hi all, I'm home!!!

Actually, we got back late last night (flight delay) & then I hung out with the brats & the treat dispensers. The cat was thrilled to see me (ran to the door when I got there, then woke me up every hour through the night to be petted). Dog was not so thrilled, cause it means the rules are going to be enforced again & she'll have to do her chores.

Long story short, we didn't make it out to the concert. On the other hand, we had a blast in Chicago. The highlight of the trip for my friend was spending time in the office of Al Capone's "dentist" (who knows what else was going on ).

Have to get ready for the theatre tonight & still trying to get on the cat's good side (he's still annoyed with me).

Hope everyone had a wonderful few days while I was gone.

Looks like the recap will consist of the Trivia questions. Sheesh, talk about easy peasy work for me (til the next round of words to input).

Thanks, everyone, for this lovely community. It's good to be back home.

It is a fabulous day out there and just got in to turn off my washing machine and
then we are heading out to dinner... We had our dinner outside last night and our breakfast
this am. There was a gentle breeze blowing and everyone around here must be away
as it was so quiet outside...
I tried to get my mom in my convertible and she said she is too old for that nonsense...

Thank you for the trivia and the reps.... haven't had a chance to look at them...

Enjoy this wonderful weather and have a meal or 2 outdoors....
We are so fortunate to live in a country like this!

Mike was about to be married to Karen
so his Father sat him down for a little chat.

He said, 'Mike, let me tell you something.
On my wedding night in our honeymoon suite,
I took off my pants, handed them to your Mother
and said, 'Here, try these on.''

She did and said, 'These are too big. I can't wear them.'

I replied, 'Exactly.. I wear the pants in this family and I
always will.' Ever since that night, we have never had
    any problems.

'Hmmm,' said Mike. He thought that might be a good thing to try.

On his honeymoon, Mike took off his pants and said to Karen,
    'Here, try these on..'

She tried them on and said, 'These are too large. They don't fit me.
'Mike said, 'Exactly. I wear the pants in this family and I always will.
I don't want you to ever forget that.'

Then Karen took off her panties and handed them to Mike. She said,
    'Here, you try on mine.'

Mike did and said, 'I can't get into your panties.'

Karen said, 'Exactly. And if you don't change your smart-ass attitude,
    you never will.'

Okay, last night I was tired so here's my review of Cowboys and Aliens:

Any good movie, and I think this applies especially to action flicks, can be made great or not-so-great through the performances of the supporting actors. This film was good Spielberg action, so of course the visuals were first-rate. And the leads, Daniel Craig and Harrison Ford, did not disappoint. In fact, both played anti-heroes - unhappy men, essentially good on the inside but with moral baggage to unload. As the film evolves, both characters allow themselves to grow and react to the tragedies exploding around them. Olivia Wilde's script must have read "look stunning and act frustratingly mysterious". However, two actors acting as representatives for the greek chorus of the classic western supporting cast, helped this movie make the transition from good to great. Sam Rockwell is just a fabulous actor, I have loved his work since first seeing him as Chuck Barris in Confessions of a Dangerous Mind. To go from cartoonish roles like that one, or the two-headed Zaphod Beeblebrox (the best bang since the Big One), to Doc, the serious and hard-working blue collar innkeeper, is a measure of his depth and range. Adam Beach, a Salteaux from Manitoba playing an Appache from New Mexico, also was solid as a devoted employee of Ford's Colonel Woodrow Dolarhyde. Ya gotta love the characters' western cliche names; Jake Lonergan, Nat Colorado, Sheriff Taggart and Chief Black Knife.

Go see this movie. Escape for a couple of hours.
