Without a doubt, we always prefer home cooking over restaurant food. I love, love, love preparing healthy meals for my family.
Mung beans and rice stew with vegetables is my all time favorite comfort food. I make it nice and spicy, serve with yogurt, and can eat it morning, noon, and night. I've been making this for at least a decade and have never tired of it. It's the first recipe on this page if anyone would like to try it: http://rawhabit.net/2011/07/18/kitch...heree-recipes/
I make everything from scratch as well and do my best to use only organic ingredients in addition to free range, grass fed meat (one trade-off of the $$ saved from quitting smoking). I prepare such a wide variety of meals that it's rare we'll eat the same thing twice in a month. Just like Anisa said, "i am one of those people who will read a bunch of recipes, and then cook the dish in the yummiest way I can figure out," I do the same.~RRLF $0.75 Organic Meadow, $1 Almond Fresh~

Come to think of it, after reading some of these posts, we'd be dining out if some of you opened restaurants nearby

Oh, yummers! Amazing that you make sausage - my parents used to, and my oldest sister and husband still do, but I haven't had it in ages!
And there's nothing like homemade sauerkraut - haven't had any for a very long time, my mom used to make it.
My fave home cooked meal is perogies and cabbage rolls, with onions and a creamy mushroom gravy.
Tied, though, is my husband's schnitzel - it's amazeballs!
