Everyone's always too busy to play board games with me, sigh. But I loved and still love, rummoli, monopoly, scrabble, uno, mousetrap, Clue, really I'll play anything as long as everyone is having fun. But there's this game I forget the name..... there's a board with a deck of cards painted on it and you shuffle out cards and take turns matching your cards onto the board in a line in any direction but anyone else can on their turn they can block you if they have the card or a wild card..lol it's really fun. My parents and I would play it nightly years ago..maybe I'll dust off the game and being it down to night.

Loved board games as a kid, and our grandson now enjoys playing Jenga, High-Ho Cherry-O, Snakes & Ladders as well as card games. I enjoyed Pictionary (which would be nice to bring out when the family is up for a visit this Christmas), Monopoly, and hubby and I still play Scrabble, although we love UP Words more, now
...with a larger group, we enjoy TIcket To Ride......of course Rommoli...We play more games when we're camping since there's no internet, and not much tv if it comes in at all. So we put on a movie and play a game!
Our grandson will be receiving another one before Christmas, but I'm not sure which one he'd enjoy at his age....
Great question, Dan.....brought back some nice memories of past games and players.....Last edited by Lynn49; Tue, Nov 19th, 2013 at 08:19 AM.

Oh! I forgot, "Sequence"! A no-brainer, but so much fun!!
We used to play it regularly with my BFF and her hubby...and because the cards on the board were so small, we were going to make a new board up with real playing cards glued onto something sturdy. It's so interesting to see how so many other people did the same thing (when you google images of the game)...but now that she's passed away...I think that game has been retired.....
