Remember when the Quality Street was on sale before Christmas? ( of 2010, lol)
Well I bought many cans for gifts, as well as for us too.
I was looking behind the door that leads down to our rec room last week ( it tends to be a place where I stash things till I can put them away properly)
Ya, I found an unopened can of Quality Street Chocolates!!
I squealed and stupidly told everyone here, DH,DS and DD, so you can guess how long that can lasted!

They were delicious BTW!

When I was in school i'd always buy myself a drink before class and sometimes between. Now, after being homeschooled I had no need for my cute little lunch box so i stored it away. My brothers GF wanted to borrow it and thank god I looked in the pockets (expecting to find wendy's cracker packets and spoons) I found about 35$ of change in there. My mom would put money in there, and sometimes i'd not use it because i'd be busy so it'd just add up
Previously CanadianBella... I'm baaack!

At one time I decided to hide $40 in a tear in the bottom of my favourite purse...
I completely forgot I had put it there.. I was very surprised a few months later when $40 was poking out of the bottom of my purse LOL!

I had a time was money was very tight and I didn't have money get antibiotics. Since then, I have hid money in a special place in the house, adding to it as I can. Now, times are better and great drug plans, this isn't needed, but still do it. Vaca money!
My sun hat that I use when we vaca has a 'hidden' pocket, and occasionally, we put money in there while we travel. Have found previous trip's stash while putting in the new trip's!
As for Christmas gifts...learned well the year we had to rebuy several gifts because we couldn't find where we put them! Now, they all go in a rubbermaid container (or 2 or 3 lol) in a closet.

the best and heart stopping moment was when my dad gave me 200$ when I was pregnant for the baby...I put it in a pocket of an old denim jacket and totally forgot about it. when my dd was 8 months old (about a year later) it was time to move out of our 1bdrm apt so I was made a nice big pile of clothes to donate including my denim jacket. we had diabetes association bins in our laundry room so I put all my clothing donation in there.
two weeks later...im watching Y&R and like a lightbulb went off....put dd in a stroller and took off for the laundry room. my stuff was still there and so was the money.... whew!
on my way upstairs I stopped on the ground floor to check my mail and guess what I saw???
The Diabetes Association donation pick up truck in front of the doors!!!!!!!!!
Talk about a close one!A little goes a long way!
