I have a "stockpile" of cards worth 523.62$

I don't like buy cards. For me, they are a waste of money. Why paid 3-4$ on card when you can put this money into the gift? Plus, I'm the first one to throw a card after a week of receiving it. But a lot of people around me like cards. So everytime I can, I will stock up on cheap cards that don't look cheap. In the pass two years, with the closing of Zellers, The Bay liquidating is cards section and the Zellers liquidation center, I have accumulate a ton of cards that I have paid only 0.10$ each!!! Mostly Hallmark cards. Today, while organizing my cards, I realized that I have 152 cards, that I paid 15.20$ plus taxes for them and there are worth 523.62$!!! Not bad for someone who don't like card, hein? Now I'm stock up for a couple of years .

since having a kid I've gone the ghetto route for cards...I use construction paper and crayons :D everyone gets a doodle. lol!

WOW... FREE Cards?? How do you manage to get them... Shame on those who are throwing it away if they are not sold at top $$. I would rather see prices go down then things going to waste just because they are not used.

I have a mini stockpile of cards too! I personally LOVE getting cards, I have kept all the cards I have received for MANY years and my grandma recently showed me tons of cards she has kept over the years and got very emotional about how special they were to her I also keep all my kids cards for them.

I have a stock pile of cards in a box just like yours. In addition, I save the cards given to family members and by family members and reuse them on special days like Valentine's and Birthdays.

I'm a card saver (25 yrs of cards from DH) Plus I've saved all my kids cards for them. I have a card stash to, I buy them when the Carlton shops puts them on 10/$1.
