Doesn't matter what brand, they all work in the microwave popcorn popper. I bought a huge canister of Orville Reddinbocker at Costco awhile back, took us a long time to go through it all, I don't think it was any better than store brand (although at Costco the price of the big canister was comparable to store brand). I pop a couple batches and put it in an airtight container, add a bit of salt/butter and we bring it in our lunches for work/school. I LOVE popcorn, fills me up for not a lot of calories (as long as you don't pile on the butter!). I don't like microwave popcorn packets because I find them too salty.

After reading all these posts I'm thinking Wtf?!
I have always, always made popcorn in a pot on the stove. I still have a half pot on my stove from last night.. LOL.
I thought that's how most people did it. Apparently I am one of a few...
Edit to add** my favourite is a sweet popcorn, add some honey to the oil and kernels. Adds a nice thin slightly crunchy layer of delicious sweetness.

I initially had a Sunbeam, and when that died a few years ago, I bought a Toastess.

It works totally fine, but it doesn't make as much as the former one did - so that's my only complaint. So I end up making two batches, one to eat, one to keep to eat another time.
My microwave popper - pretty vintage, lol! It's Rubbermaid
I had one from decades ago, then when it broke, I was lucky enough to find the same one one at a yard sale a few years ago.
As for what popcorn to use - seems like I've tried them all. The ones claiming they are hull-less, really aren't.
Best I've found overall, and will only use, is Safeway brand yellow popping corn. I buy the biggest bag, not sure of the size, but it's cheap.

That would be amazing....but you gotta wonder if cell phones would be safe if you could make popcorn with them....maybe?

We use organic popcorn. I've been using the Nativa organic popcorn from Shoppers. But I admit, I find no difference between the nonorganic and organic popcorn. I just choose the organic for other reasons.

please read the embedded links in my post (they are in blue font).....the videos are hoaxes....The power put out my a cell phone can in no way stong enough to pop corn nor cook an egg. If they were that strong, massive numbers of deaths would have occured in the , what....20 yrs, of commerical cell phone use.
