price matching policy

can I use a coupon when price matching?

A guest can use coupons when price matching per Target's normal coupon policy. When the guest presents a coupon(s), these steps will be followed:

• Manufacturer coupons: Manufacturer coupons: manufacturer coupons will be applied after the price match is made.
  
• Target coupons: Target coupons will be applied before the price match is made. If the competitor price is still lower than the price after the Target coupon has been deducted, the ad match can be adjusted to match the competitor's
  
• Combining both Target and manufacturer coupons: the Target coupon will be applied before the price match is made. If the competitor price is still lower than the price after the Target coupon has been deducted, the ad match can be adjusted to match the competitor's price. Once the price match is made the manufacturer coupon will be applied.
  
• Reminder: we accept one manufacturer coupon and one Target coupon for the same item unless either coupon prohibits it. Target does not ad match a competitor’s coupon-required offers.
  
• We happily accept one manufacturer's and one Target coupon per item. View our Store Coupon policy.
  

So the stores are doing it wrong if they accept the coupon after PM but can we keep this thread to just red sticker deals and discuss PMing/coupon use in another?

Sunlight. Sensitive skin laundry soap 48 packs per bag. Price marked down on shelf to 7.99 but rang up $5.59! I bought 4 bags. I had 2 $2 coupons PLUS I had two $8 coupons (one for me and one for DH) that was from Shoppers voice a few months ago
cashier rang up both the $2 off coupons then 1x $8 and the other as $5.59. I used my target card and received another 5% off!

works out to $1.64 per bag with taxes, red card discount and coupons OR 3 cents per load if my math is correct.

I will use my receipt for the buy one get one free sunlight rebate! Woot!

I didn't find marked down pineapple that I was hoping to find but I did see a lot of kashi cereal marked down to $2.50. Lots of the clearance spots on the shelves were empty.

I was at the Cambridge Target store and they were pulling all the clearance cosmetics off the shelves into baskets and wouldn't let you buy them. Strange. Not much left in the grocery department, just empty shelves. All houseware clearance was priced high compared to what SC posts are. I scanned everything I liked and they were sticker price. Disappointing.

could be. i was there chatting with another shopper in cosmetics and she was showing me all the separated nail polishes and saying they were old.

Forgot to mention in my previous post, also found some girls' Minnie Mouse accessories marked as follows:

Toque with Pom Poms like the mouse ears $3
Earmuffs, super cute with a sequinned Minnie Mouse design $2.40
Mittens with bows/pompoms on them $2 IIRC (I left it behind as there was a snag on it)

Strange thing is that the barcodes would not scan/read at the self-scanners, and the cashier had to use the scan-gun to get the price as her regular counter-scanner would not pick it up. In fact, when checking prices on items, I noticed a lot of items' barcodes could not be scanned.

I remembered when I bought the Kernels Popcorn, it scanned on the cashier's counter and self-scanner as $3.99. I asked if it should be part of the 90% off clearance (as an employee working in the store had scanned it on her gun and told me it was). She checked on her scanner gun, and it gave her that additional information.

So I think there is merit in asking about the prices sometimes, because I believe some items get reduced at the till, but the information comes up on the scan guns rather than their typical cashier scanner...

Did anyone else notice this?

Looks like I will have to make another trip there and look at kids shoes. They were $11.99 last week but for the new price I don't care what the shoes look like perfect indoor shoes for DS's!
