Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has congratulated Ukrainians on the Day of Dignity and Freedom, which is marked in Ukraine today, November 21.
"I congratulate all of you on the Day of Dignity and Freedom. Thank you, dear Ukrainians, that we build our European state together! There are still a lot of problems to be solved and I'm not going to mitigate the reality. And I cannot but share my clear vision that we've overcome the hardest part in economy and everything will be all right if we do not allow some politicians to reset the result achieved by such a high price,” said Poroshenko in his speech posted on the president's official website.
He also stressed that over three years since the start of the Revolution of Dignity the basis for a new Ukraine was laid and the state started to develop.

Monument to Euromaidan heroes opened in Ivano-Frankivsk
For the third anniversary of the Euromaidan revolution, a bas-relief dedicated to the Heroes of the Heaven’s Hundred was opened on the building of the city council of Ivano-Frankivsk.
The monument, created by Volodymyr Semkiv and Yulia Semkiv, contains the names of all Euromaidan protesters that were killed at Euromaidan (98 by official data) and quotes from social media.
“This is a monument not for them, this is a monument for us, it’s a thing in public space where people constantly pass, and it’s a metaphor of a mirror: what these people have done for us, and how we have changed,” Volodymyr told Radio Svoboda.

Today, activists rallied at the Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Lviv to protest 1,000 days of Russian occupation of Crimea.
They first created a sand map of the Crimean peninsula and planted one thousand green toy soldiers across the whole territory (remember those “little green men”?). Then, they made paper airplanes and launched them over the fence towards the consulate.

Ukraine names woman 23 yo anti-corruption head
23-year-old lawyer has been given the task of leading Ukraine's anti-corruption drive, the second major appointment of a young woman in weeks.Anna Kalynchuk's promotion has provoked consternation among some Ukrainians who say she is unqualified and too young.
She will direct Ukraine's department of "lustration", which aims to purge officials tainted by corruption.
Corruption was a key complaint of protesters who forced President Viktor Yanukovych from power in February 2014.
Ms Kalynchuk's appointment comes days after Anastasia Deyeva, 24, was named by Interior Minister Arsen Avakov as deputy minister, one of Ukraine's top police and security posts.
That announcement was met with anger, which only intensified when nude photos of Ms Deyeva were shared on social media.
Short answer : no Long answer : NOOOOOOOOOOO!

Ukraine has lost another young man…
A soldier called “Molody” (Youngster) was killed during combat in the Donbas on November 22. He served in the Aratta Battalion of the Ukrainian Volunteer Army.
He fought in Shyrokino in the winter of 2015, and was recently deployed to a reconnaissance unit with the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Canada adds Crimean officials to sanctions list
November 28, 2016 - Ottawa, Ontario - Global Affairs Canada
In order to maintain the necessary pressure on Russia until it fully complies with its international obligations with respect to Ukraine, the Special Economic Measures (Ukraine) Regulations have been amended to list 15 additional separatist individuals, including six members of Russia’s State Duma from Crimea, who are subject to an asset freeze and dealings prohibition.
These sanctions are in response to the September 18 election of officials residing in Crimea to Russia’s State Duma. Canada does not support the legitimacy or the outcome of these elections held in the occupied Crimean peninsula, as it has never recognized Russia’s illegal annexation of Ukraine’s Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol.
Adding more sanctions, in coordination with our partners, is the most effective way to underscore the resounding message that together with the United States and the European Union, there is unity in responding to Russia’s actions in Ukraine. Canada’s new measures are also designed to maintain the efficacy of existing sanctions measures, and, crucially, to maintain pressure on Russia to implement its Minsk commitments. Canada reaffirms its commitment to a policy of non-recognition of Russia’s illegal annexation of Crimea.
“In the face of ongoing Russian military aggression and illegal occupation, Canada has taken a number of steps to support the Ukrainian people as they work to restore political and economic stability, including imposing sanctions against those responsible for the ongoing crisis. Today’s announcement of additional sanctions underscores Canada’s unwavering commitment to the sovereignty of Ukraine.”

Good morning, World! Special good morning, Ukraine from one of our brave men!
Yes, it's bloody cold, and yes, it's freezing down there in the trenches, but here we are.... revelling in the snow like schoolboys.

"Good Morning, Ukraine!"
(The second picture was of them with an anatomically correct snow woman, and I didn't know if I could copy that here...)
