Great I already had a phobia of escalators. Luckily I don't wear scarves.

I heard about this. I wear a very long scarf, I definitely think about this on the escalator! One time my mom got a boot lace caught in an escalator, there was a moment of panic before someone hit the emergency stop button.

Read about this yesterday, gave me goosebumps.

Not to be grim - but it sounds like something from Final Destination? Like holy smokes. If I saw that happening I`d be tramatized

Edit * The article I read yesterday said her hair got caught as well but did not say in this one. Also said she was 30, not 48... Strange.

It was her Hijab that got stuck and her hair.

There is speculation that she may have fallen or suffered a medical emergency and that's how it got caught.

    Very sad

Just awful - newer escalators have automatic shutdown features.

So very sad that the mention of it being her hijab caused such a stir of hate online.

Nothing new here there is a lot of hate going around especially with the proposed "charter of values" Bill 60.

Oh, I know... the article I read said that's why the police called it a scarf in their reporting of it.
