My first mail brag? I don't know . . . Depends

Today my son phoned me at work to tell me that I have a package in the mail from Chicago. I told him that I had no idea what it could be, but I would call him back when I had time. When I called back, my daughter answered the phone and she opened the package for me. She started laughing so hard she could hardly speak. My first mail freebie consists of 2 ladies Depends. I don't recall having signed up for Depends. Since I am far too young to need such a product I will add them to my donation basket. Free is good !

One time my mom received baby formula in the mail (didn't sign up for it) and when I opened it for her I was like, "Is there something you want to tell me?" She replied, "No, but your father has some explaining to do..."



But I'm afraid you don't need to be old to wear Depends... If your spine is damaged in such a way that the nerves that control your bladder are shot, you can need them... that can happen at any age.

Thanks for the "reassurance" about spine damage, but I probably received them because I specified my age on some company's website. Next week I can probably expect medication for hot flashes -- alright, something I can use.

I'm sorry, I didn't mean it that way! No, I don't think you'll get nerve damage. It's just that as a "younger person" I take offense when people say Depends are just for older people. They're most definitely not. I have spine damage, but was quite lucky to NOT damage those nerves! Unfortunately there are many younger people who aren't so lucky and it's quite embarrassing for them to hear people make fun of "older people things"...
